The Design Process Behind Your Stainless Steel Hook Rack:
Phase 1: Initial Market Research
At Cave Tools, we always start out with an extremely thorough market research. Before designing the wall hook rack you see here, our product development team scoured through thousands of reviews on the then best tools and accessories organizers in the market. During this kitchen hook rack review process, we learn a ton of information about what actual customers love about their towel hook rack, what they hate about their coat hook rack, and most importantly, we’re able to spot opportunities in the market to add new features. We even learn a lot about what makes the best grilling gift set.
Phase 2: Market Surveying and Polling
After Phase 1 we have a pretty good idea of the type of grill accessories we want to build, but we don’t stop there. The initial research is based on feedback from competitor products, which are very different from our design concept. So we follow up in Phase 2 by polling/surveying members of the Cave Tools customer base to get their feedback and input on our potential grill tools hooks. Once all of this data is compiled, we are ready to start moving forward with production
Phase 3: Continual Product Improvement
Cave Tools is not some giant company with hundreds or thousands of employees. We operate as a tight team with customer feedback information freely flowing throughout the organization. One of the main advantages of being a lean company is that we’re able to make decisions and modifications extremely quickly. We’re constantly monitoring the customer feedback about the bbq hook rack and keep a running list of potential design improvements that we can roll out on our next manufacturing batch.
Through the process of continuous improvement and dedication to quality, our goal is to make an excellent 5 hook rack!
I was super duper excited when my rack arrived at my door! I immediately took it out of the box and looked at the packaging.
If I were shopping in a physical store, this box would get my attention as well.
I love all the information they have on the outside of the box. It answered all of the initial questions I wanted to ask.
My overall first impression is very excited and can't wait to open it and see what it's like inside!
I opened the box and appreciated the nice packaging. The screwdriver is a nice touch. Even though we have several screwdrivers around here, it never hurts to have another one, and now I don't have to spend 20 minutes in the garage looking for a screwdriver that works or screws that fit, etc. I can just run outside RIGHTNOW and install it!
I am impressed with the quality of this hook rack. It is a very pretty brushed stainless steel that would complement just about any decor. It is a SOLID piece of steel too. I actually tried to bend it and I could not.
NOW, we had to decide where we were going to put it! We had so many options... we could put it on the back of the front door to use as a coatrack/hatrack/etc. We could install it in the bathroom for a towel and robe hanger for the boys. We could hang it in the garage for Honey Graham to use for his tools and supplies. I could hang it by my sewing machine to use for MY craft supplies. We could hang it out by the grill to put our tongs and grilling tools. The possibilities really are endless here!
Ultimately, we decided to use these hooks outside by the grill and the kiddie pool/water table so we could hang our barbeque utensils or the boys' swim towels and suits. We always seem to have the problem of the boys putting their clean, dry swim towels in the water somehow, so I thought this would solve that problem when they play outside with water. Also, our grill has a small counter area, so being able to hang the tools nearby would really be helpful when we're trying to grill lots of things.
Honey Graham did the honors of installing it.
It's easy for one person to install. The provided screwdriver seems to be very high quality. This makes it very simple to just open the box and install it, start to finish, without having to run around and find other tools.
Make sure you put the green plastic washer on each screw BEFORE screwing it into your wall. [ask us how we know this!]
The metal screw covers then pop on to the plastic washers for that cool finished look. I'm not sure if they will stay on being outside and all, but we will see. So far, so good.
All in all, this was super easy to install and it looks good. We like it. It's very sleek.
I like that it has 5 hooks. That's enough for two little boys' worth of swim gear and all of the barbecue tools we would need.
And when we're done swimming, it's a great place to hang our utensils.
I am so impressed. I can't wait to use this on a regular basis! Now that it's getting hot outside, we have a great place to hang our swim towels so they won't get wet and have a place to dry the swim suits without getting half the house covered in water.
Thank you so much, Cave Tools, for the opportunity to try out this awesome product!
