How Sweet It Is to be Loved by You: Sweet Almond Oil - the many uses of this Carrier Oil

Here is another entry in my series of essential oil posts! This week’s post is actually about a carrier oil called Almond Oil, which is a newer oil for me!
Most uses of essential oils require a carrier oil due to the intensity and strength of the essential oils. Sweet almond oil can be a great choice due to the high content of monounsaturated fatty acids, vitamin E, potassium, protein, zinc, and other vitamins and minerals. It is a good choice for making cosmetic products since it does great things for your hair, skin, nails, and body.
Sweet almond oil is made from actual almonds that you can eat. You could theoretically use this oil for culinary uses, but I wouldn't. The company advises against it as well. It is for topical use only.
Sweet almond oil has very little color and odor so it does not affect the color or scent of cosmetics. It blends well with essential oils and other oils as well as butters. It has a slight nutty smell and a slight beige color but that is it. Both are easily masked by any other product.
Almond oil is mild and does not usually cause allergy problems. It is good for sensitive skin. (unless of course, you are allergic to nuts). It even can be used on a newborn baby's skin since it is so gentle. It absorbs fully and easily and quickly. It helps your skin stay moisturized and supple. It can penetrate deep into your skin, so it can have a cleansing effect. This oil is used to prevent acne since it is very high in vitamin A.
I know some women who use almond oil to remove makeup. They dip the ball in the oil and gently rub it into their makeup. A few minutes later, it easily wipes off. I was pretty impressed! I don’t wear makeup, but if I did, I’d probably use almond oil to remove it since I’m sensitive to most soaps and makeup removers.
Almond oil is also a great oil to make salt and sugar scrubs. It can also be used to relieve eczema and psoriasis and other skin ailments as it leaves the skin soft and hydrated.
Overall, this is a great oil to use in cosmetics, mixed with other carrier oils, mixed with essential oils, or just by itself. I’m going to try using it in my next batch of body butter.

I have been using the cold pressed almond oil for so many years in my skincare routine and it has totally replaced the moisturizer for me. I even use it to make homemade body and lip scrub. I love the article shared by you , thank you for sharing so good information.
