Gentian Violet: the BEST Treatment For Thrush, Rashes, Athlete's Foot, Ringworm, and MORE!

Product: Gentian Violet

I found a product that used to be used quite frequently but for some reason, people stopped using! I had a strange rash that would go away, but then keep coming back no matter what I did. I would clear it up with tea tree oil, but then it came back a few weeks later. I’d put TTO on it again and it would go away but it would keep coming back! I did not know what else to try. I tried fungal creams, antibiotics, various essential oils, calamine lotion, benadryl, everything. Finally a friend of a friend suggested I look for gentian violet! And OH MY GOODNESS... IT WORKED!

Review of a Foam Roller For Sore Muscles: Bro, Do You Even Roll?

Product: Foam Roller

I started doing foam rolling when I started training for my half marathon. As the weekly miles piled up and the strength training increased, I would often end up with extremely sore muscles. I absolutely hate ice baths and I'm not convinced those are the best way to go anyway as the ice bath reduces the inflammation and the inflammation is what makes your muscles break down and rebuild stronger.

Review of OKO Filtered Water Bottle

I was recently in the market for a new reusable water bottle. One of my other reusable filtered bottles broke after almost 6 years of use! I was looking for an exact replacement, but then I found these cool OKO water bottles on Amazon. They were pretty cheap and looked awesome so I thought I’d try them since I like trying new things.

Natural and Organic Shampoo & Conditioner Review

Brand: Nature's Gate Product: Herbal Shampoo & Conditioner

A few years ago, I stopped using “traditional” shampoo and conditioner. I started avoiding parabens and sulfates. Most shampoo and conditioner has sodium laureth sulfate in it. I was in Austin one day and went to Sprouts. I thought maybe I should look for shampoo there since they have a lot of natural products there. I found this brand of shampoo and conditioner called Natures Gate and it was on sale where if you bought the shampoo, you got the conditioner free! Well, I had never paid that much for shampoo or conditioner before (I was always an herbal essenses girl before that), but I thought I’d give it a try.

How to HEAL your skin NATURALLY: Review of Antifungal Soap with Tea Tree Oil

Brand: ArtNaturals Product: Body & Foot Wash

Sigh. Despite my best efforts, I have chronic athletes foot. It goes away for awhile, but it always flares up occasionally. I have products that help take care of the flare ups (I like Gentian Violet, Clotrimazole, and straight Tea Tree Oil and/or Lavender essential oil, but I like this soap from ArtNaturals to help with every day prevention.

Six of my favorite reusable water bottles

If you’re like me, you drink a lot of water. Three pregnancies (one miscarriage), two nursing relationships, and two half marathon training cycles have resulted in me drinking about a gallon of water a day. I’m always carrying around a reusable water bottle. I’ve gone through many. Some are filtered and some aren’t. Some have straws and some don’t. I like different bottles for different reasons. All of these bottles can be found on Amazon. I’ve compared and contrasted a few of my favorite water bottles below.
