Easter Sensory Bin

My kids love sensory bins! I don't make a TON of them, but I do enjoy putting them together for the holidays throughout the year, and then I love watching them discover the things I've put in them when I randomly leave them out for them to find. This one is a springy Easter themed one, and it's been a big hit so far!

I didn't do a whole lot of special stuff for this one... I just obtained the following things and put them in the box together.

Biodegradable Easter Grass was the "bulk" of the bin, and even though I'm finding it all over the house, it's much better for the environment than the plastic junk. You can find some in stores, or on Amazon Here, Here, and Here

Giant Plastic Easter Egg

Shaped Easter Eggs (I found Paw Patrol, Shopkins, and Minions at the store which worked perfectly!)

Paas Egg dying cups

Easter coins

Small glittery foam eggs

Crinkly cat toys

Silk Flowers: I got a variety including Tulips, Daisies, and Daffodils among others.

Beaded necklaces

Egg ornaments

Silk butterflies

Foam stickers

Porcupine balls and Eggs

Sproings

Metallic Easter eggs

Gift bows (the curly ones and the "hairbow" looking ones)

Bouncy balls (These are SUPER FUN by the way!)

Mini Erasers

I love how open-ended this sensory bin is. They have the cups to scoop and dump things, and the Easter grass is so stringy, they can just spend minutes pulling it apart! The little toys in the bin are lots of fun to discover... you can either put them in the plastic eggs or just in the bin itself.

The boys have spent HOURS playing with this stuff. Occasionally, a dinosaur or a Hot Wheels car makes it into the bin too, but that's okay! This is a  completely unstructured activity, and they like it that way, plus Mama can spend 10 minutes doing something else while they play!

Where was the weirdest place you ever hid or found an Easter egg?

This is perfect! I know exactly what we'll be doing with all the hollow plastic egg shells and leftover basket grass now. Absolutely genius!

What a great idea! We do sensory bins at a play group that we go to a lot and my girls love it. I always try replicating them at home with no luck lol but this one seems easy and fun!
