It's been awhile since I've shared an update on how Froot Loop is doing in Pre-K! He just got a report card, so I'll go from there.
If y'all have read this blog for awhile, you know I'm a science nerd. I majored in physics. I've had a lifelong love of science. This week's Wishlist Wednesday is a science item that I've wanted pretty much my whole life and yet have never obtained.
Drought is a shortage of water over an extended period of time. Droughts are a normal part of a climate cycle. They occur in all climate zones. Drought can be short or span years. There have been at least three major U.S. droughts in the last 100 years. Two of these, the 1930s Dust Bowl drought and the 1950s drought, each lasted 5-7 seven years and covered large areas of the country with devastating results.
I made colored rice for Froot Loop and Cocoa Puff's sensory bins. It was really easy, took a reasonable amount of time (most of the time was drying time), took only a few ingredients, and has become something we play with pretty frequently.
People wonder why I’m so exhausted all the time. After all, I work from home and my oldest is in pre-k all day. My toddler is relatively low maintenance except for those days he decides he’s two years old.

That being said, some of the most serious injuries in car crashes occur with occupants of car seats. In fact, about 2 children under age 13 EVERY MINUTE are involved in a car crash. That's very sobering information for sure. One of the reasons that car seat injuries can be so severe is because many people think they have their car seats installed correctly, but really, they don't. It's hard! In fact, YOU probably don't have your car seats installed quite right. It's absolutely necessary to get a professional car seat check to protect those little bodies!
Happy November, y'all! It's finally time for cooler weather, Thanksgiving, and the beginning of the Christmas season! Speaking of Christmas, I have another Tshirt that I just NANT! (I just tried to type Need and Want at the same time and came up with NANT. I'm gonna keep it!) Here it is:
I made a super fun sensory bottle recently, and it was SO EASY and so fun. The boys both love it and it's an awesome way to teach mixing colors. Read on for the details.
Wishlist Wednesday Time! Woo hoo! This week, I have another hilarious shirt that is SO going on my Christmas list this year:
