Tutorial: How to make a DIY Crash Pad for when your kids are BOUNCING off the walls!

We still have the weekend until preschool starts up again and Froot Loop is going crazy with cabin fever. He needed to run around and get some of his crazy energy out. I thought I’d make him a crash pad to put next to his bean bag chairs so he could jump in/on it.

Tutorial: Paper Plate Color Sorting Rainbow Ribbon Collage Craft For Babies, Toddlers, and Preschoolers.

Froot Loop suddenly loves to do simple crafts with me. FINALLY, all the craft supplies I’ve bought for him are being used, and most of the crafts are so simple that I can do them with Cocoa Puff too. We love our craft time now!

Tutorial: Fall Painting 3 Ways. So Easy, a Baby Could Do It (and he did!!)

It’s always the BEST DAY EVER when I get the paint out around here. Froot Loop has recently REALLY gotten into painting with brushes and instruments, although he still doesn’t like finger painting at all. Sensory issues… I have tried painting with Cocoa Puff a few times and he really seems to enjoy it if he’s in a good mood.

Our Journey to the Special Education Program: Here's What to Expect for Early Intervention Part 3 (The Pre-K Evaluation)

Well, today was Froot Loop's Preschool Evaluation. I want to write about it while I can still remember because I'm wiped out now afterward and I'm going to pass out and take a nap after lunch.

Meeting the Early Childhood Psychologist: Starting the Process to Get into the School's Special Education Program

We've suspected for some time now that Froot Loop has some sort of issue(s) that require Early Childhood Intervention. He has several red flags of ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and sensory processing and behavior issues. So, we started talking to our local elementary school about what we need to do to get him checked out and assessed. Several emails later, and today we had our first meeting with the elementary school child psychologist.

Puddin' Face: This is what Happened When I Let My Toddler Do Whatever He Wanted With Pudding and Jello Cups

Oh what fun! I needed to keep Cocoa Puff busy for a few minutes so I could get some dishes and stuff done. A few days ago he found and decimated Froot Loop’s chocolate pudding cup. I stripped him down to his diaper and put him in his high chair. I gave him a pudding cup.

Wishlist Wednesday: Educational Number Learning Game For Children and Family Game Night

It's Wishlist Wednesday time again! I found a really interesting game this week:

When your Kids are Bored or Crabby or Stuck Inside, Make this Fun, Quick, & Easy Indoor Ball Pit

Here’s an inexpensive and super easy idea for kiddos of all ages, from just sitting up to grade school (or maybe beyond since I want one too!).

Quick and Easy Magazine Collages Tutorial for a Rainy Day, Fine Motor Activity for Toddlers, Preschoolers, & Kids

The boys and I spent most of the day yesterday making collages from magazine pictures! It was good practice for his scissor skills (although I did most of the cutting).

Here's a post!

It's been a little bit of a crazy week around here, so the usual Friday post is going to be delayed a day! So so sorry! I'm working on writing a tutorial for a sweet baby blanket, but I have to wait to publish it until I actually give the blanket to the Mama!
