Now that the boys are getting a little older and their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination are improving, they're really starting to get into video games. They'd LOVE to have a portable gaming system to take on the road or with them practically everywhere. They've both requested this Nintendo Switch
Wednesdays (usually) mean Wishlist Wednesdays here at Mama Writes Reviews. Today's pick is a sticky one: Etch-A-Sketch Sticky Notes!
We finally bought the boys a sandbox! They’ve been having so much fun scooping, digging, sifting, and molding, and Mama’s been on the hunt for new things we can play with in there. Here’s a list of some things I found!
"Logic is the beginning of wisdom ... not the end." -Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country
Ah, Star Trek... once again, a perfect quote for humanity. To go with that quote, here are a handful of games that help strengthen those logic skills!
If your family is anything like ours, you love to play games together. We're still in that phase of life where we want to play board games, but there's so many games that our young boys just can't handle yet! Thankfully, there are a TON of games out there that have a junior/kids edition to complement the "grown-up"/family edition... check them out below!
Woo hoo! Froot Loop has finally learned how to ride a bike without training wheels! We told him that he could trick out his new bike with a new horn, license plate, etc. once he learned, and he's picked out a few things!
Spelling is a vital part of a child's education, and generally, kiddos start learning to spell somewhere in the preschool/pre-k/kindergarten age (unless you're Froot Loop, who started spelling his first words at age 2...). I've found a bunch of fun toys and games that can help young kids learn to spell (which also helps them on their reading journey!)
My youngest son helped me pick out this week's Wishlist Wednesday item. He's REALLY been in to Play-Doh lately, and he found this Play-Doh at the store and asked me to get for him. I said no, but I did put it on his wishlist!
