Review of Melissa & Doug See & Spell Game for Preschool

Right before he turned three last fall, Froot Loop really started getting interested in spelling and reading. I bought some letter construction sets (see post here). I also bought some spelling games such as Boggle Junior (see post here), Spill and Spell (I found a vintage version at a garage sale! - it’s this one!), and bananagrams (see post HERE).
We use those games occasionally, but we use the Melissa and Doug See and Spell most often I think.
Froot Loop loves being able to look at the pictures of the words and see the letters and match them. He likes that the letters are actually shaped like the letters and not just all squares/rectangles or whatever. He likes to trace the letters in the word plaques too.
Like all Melissa and Doug products, this one is very well made. The pieces are all wood and are durable and fun. There are a bunch of different plaques, with a word on each side. All of the words are three or four letters, so they are easy enough for preschoolers.
We also like to dump the letters out on the table or floor and practice spelling other words we know. I like to have them out when we’re reading books and pick out words on the page and work on spelling words we see in the book. All in all, this is a great way to introduce letters, spelling, and reading to your kiddos. The tangible letters make all the difference.
What is a word you can never seem to spell correctly?
