Eat your Fruits and Veggies, Just not These Play Fruits & Veggies by Melissa & Doug!

We have a lot of play food in this house. Froot Loop and Cocoa Puff love to play with the food and dishes in their play kitchen. While I usually go for felt or wooden food, I saw these sets were by Melissa and Doug, so even though they are molded plastic, I thought I’d give them a try.

It's the worst thing ever when your baby is sick! They're so little and can't vocalize how they feel and they're just miserable... At least Cocoa Puff almost made it to 9 months before getting sick for the first time. It’s much easier to take care of babies when they’re sick when they’re a little older. I think one of Froot Loop’s favorite foods is waffles. He often asks for frozen waffles when I take him grocery shopping with me. Melissa and Doug make a cute waffle maker set, and Froot Loop has it.

16 of Our Favorite Board Books

One of the very first things I remember doing with both of my boys was reading to them. Once they got to the other side of that 8 month sleep regression and finally settled into a routine, I read books to them every night. I also read tons of books during the day. I read to them all the time it seems and a lot of my favorite memories of my boys revolve around reading to them. Here's a list of some of our favorite baby and toddler board books (that would make GREAT Christmas presents, by the way).

Who doesn't love puzzles? Even the youngest kiddos love fitting those pieces together. My grandma loves doing jigsaw puzzles. Me? I don't have the space anywhere to do puzzles, and with two rambunctious little boys running around, I have nowhere safe to put them while I'm not working on them. I miss doing puzzles though, but I'll settle for doing the younger puzzles with my kiddos.

I guess there's a trend that when a younger sibling is born, to give the older one a present too. One of the presents that Froot Loop got was a fun sensory toy called bristle blocks.
