A Book about the Post Office
My son Froot Loop just LOVES the post office. Before he started pre-k 2 years ago, he walked with me every day to get the mail. Now, we often walk to the post office after school before going home.

No no no, not the Salt n Pepa song (great, now I’m going to have that dumb song stuck in my head all day). I’m talking about this manual, non-electric, non-gasoline push mower!
Anyone remember watching Wacky Races? My dad remembers watching it as a kid, and we watched reruns on Cartoon Network when I was a kid! There was also the Dastardly and Mutley show, which I was not as familiar with, but it's still hilarious.
There are products out there you never knew you needed. Products you don’t even know exist because you’ve never looked for them. You don’t even know what to search for. One of my favorite things, and something I never knew I needed, is the BenQ ScreenBar e-Reading LED Task Lamp.

I love dogs. I love books. I have dogs. I have books. Shortly after my youngest was born, I came across this book by one of my favorite authors, Madeleine L’Engle! (Author of A Wrinkle in Time)
Now that the boys are a little older, they like playing games as a family. Cocoa Puff is a bit young for most of them at 3 years old, so we kind of have to bend the rules for him a little. One game we all can play is Spot It Jr. Animals.
So Froot Loop learned to read at 5... like a YOUNG 5 years old. He was reading so well that last year in Pre-K, they actually put him in the Kindergarten class for part of the day when they did their reading. He's barely 6 years old and he's reading at a 3rd or 4th grade level.
I have this game that looks just like one of Froot Loop’s fidget toys. It’s small, so I just throw it in my bag for if I get bored waiting in line somewhere.
We don’t know who invented the cupcake, but whoever it was surely deserves a culinary gold medal. The idea of a personal-sized portion of scrumptious cake topped with rich frosting and colorful toppings is genius – pure and simple.
