The boys and I spent most of the day yesterday making collages from magazine pictures! It was good practice for his scissor skills (although I did most of the cutting).

It gets so hot here in South Texas and we have to get creative to keep cool. We have a new AC unit that cost almost as much as our car and it’s worth every penny, but we still try to keep our electric bills down as much as possible and run the AC less. 

One of the ways we lose so much of the cool air in our house is through our super thin windows. We still have the original windows from the 1970s… single pane, paper thin…

Roundup of Fun, Unique, and Interesting Jigsaw Puzzles: Fun for the Whole Family!

Today is one of those days where I just feel like staying in my pajamas, making a bunch of popcorn and snacks, and working on a puzzle all day…

But I CAN’T FIND ANY OF MY PUZZLES! I know they’re out in a storage bin in the garage with some other games, but yeah, can’t find them. We put them out there when Froot Loop was a baby because I didn’t want any of the small puzzle pieces around a baby. It’s still probably a good idea to keep them packed away, but still, I CAN’T FIND MY PUZZLES!
