A Spooky Sensory Experience: Week of Sensory Bins, Day 5!
You know, I never really liked Halloween that much as a kid. Sure, it was a day to dress up and be silly and get all sorts of candy and stuff, but really, I wasn't that impressed by it.

Both of the boys are pretty fascinated by fish. We have three goldfish going on 2 years old that we won at a Halloween carnival! Every time we visit an aquarium or zoo, we always have to spend extra time with the fishes.
Summer may be over and I may not be planning any more trips to the beach for now, but I found a way for my kiddos (and for me!) to keep playing with sand all year round!
Ah, Autumn. It's FINALLY autumn.... my favorite season. I thought I'd throw together a fun, cinnamon-scented sensory box for the kiddos to celebrate! Here's what I did...
One of Cocoa Puff's favorite activities are our "sensory" bins. I also call them activity bins. I've made them for multiple occasions and holidays. Originally, I had made a bunch of them for Froot Loop, but his tactile sensory issues made it so that he would barely even touch most of the sensory bins, much less actually enjoy playing with it. Soooooo, I put some of them away and brought them out for Cocoa Puff when he was about 18 months old. He still plays with them at 3 years old, so I've made a few more. Here is one of his recent favorites: a rainbow-dyed oatmeal sensory bin with glass gems, marbles, and plastic coins.
Have you heard of the SkipHop brand? They have the most adorable backpacks and lunch bags and plates and cups and things.
My boys have always loved books and always loved reading. They've also always loved cars and trucks and anything with wheels. Usborne Books & More has found the CUTEST way to combine these two! Froot Loop and Cocoa Puff want them all!
Happy Wednesday! It's Wishlist Wednesday Time here on the blog! Today, I have a book that we just NEED!
Happy Tuesday! As you may or may not have read yesterday, I just joined Usborne Books & More as an Independent Consultant. I have loved Usborne Books since Froot Loop was a baby. One of the first books he ever received was from my aunt, who has always been amazing at sending the boys (and me!) books.
Good Morning! Happy Monday! Monday mornings mean Quickie Question time! This last week, I have started yet another small business! I just joined with Usborne Books & More as an Independent Consultant and I could NOT be happier about it.
