Wishlist Wednesday: Sarah's Silks Night Sky Jumbo Play Silk Edition

It's that time of the week again where I find something I just HAVE to have and share it with you! This week's Wishlist Wednesday is a little different in that I have a similar item but there's a related (bigger, better, funner, whatever...) one that I really want to get for the boys!
Both of the boys have a strange fascination with silk scarves. We have a mini silk from Sarah’s silks and both boys play with it constantly. I might need to get another one since they fight over it.
The smaller silk is 35 inches by 35 inches. It’s a great size for making capes and for playing peek a boo. The lightweight texture is good for little hands and also for use in sensory play. It is lots of fun to throw up into the air and watch it fall. It has been used as a superhero cape, as a hat, as a kitty cat bed, a doorway, a curtain, and much more.
This huge silk scape is a whopping 3 feet by 9 feet! It’s crazy big! It works as imagination play backdrops or for photo shoots or for a bed canopy. It is also perfect for forts and tents! There are several different prints and colors. The starry night is my favorite, but the blue/green one and the fire ones are also very pretty.
The only downside is the price. I was fortunate enough to get the smaller rainbow silk for a discount because I was at the right place at the right time on their Facebook page.
I ordered a handful of smaller silk scarves (they are 29” x 29”) for Cocoa Puff to put in his Easter eggs. The quality is not quite as good as the Sarah’s Silks brand, and they are only one color, but they work for what I intended them for. I’m hoping that these will keep the boys from fighting over the rainbow silk.
I have bought silk fabric before and it is a PAIN to sew. It might be worth the price just so I don’t have to create the hems! I spent two solid days hand sewing a cape for Froot Loop for Christmas (it wasn’t silk but it still needed to be hand sewn) and I swear to you, I will NEVER do it again.
Do you use these silk scapes? What creations have you made with them?
