Get a Natural Home this Autumn with Simply Earth Essential Oils
Okay, so it may still be in the 90s here in South Texas, but the calendar says it's autumn. I'm SOOOO ready for cooler temperatures. One of the ways I'm making my own autumn is with Simply Earth's October Recipe Box!
Y'all. This is "Fall" in a box!
This month's box includes the following:
Mmmmmm Cassia. It's sort of a "cousin" to cinnamon and has a nice, "bitey," spicy smell to it that is just PERFECT for fall. It's a bit sweeter of a smell too, but it can be easily used in place of cinnamon in essential oil recipes.
Uses:
Supports a healthy immune system
Promotes self-esteem
Stimulates circulation
Relieves tight muscles
It is also uplifting and also works well to help with congestion and alertness. It can be used to help with nausea and menstrual cramps too. My favorite use for it though is in a room spray, especially after a round of sickness hits our house (but I do wait and do it after the kids go to school since it CAN cause respiratory issues in young kids and their little lungs).
Be careful, though, this oil is safe only for kids 10+.
Uses:
Uplifts, improves mood
Degreases
Eases sore muscles
Aids digestion
Comforts
Yes, it's kid safe, too.
Uses:
Increases alertness
Improves concentration
Ingredients: Cardamom, Frankincense, Eucalyptus, & Sweet Orange
This oil is only safe for kiddos 10+. You can read more about this oil blend HERE
Uses:
Uplifts
Refreshes
Balances emotions
Relieves respiratory issues
Aids in muscle relief
May help relieve hiccups
I like to diffuse this with Eucalyptus, Peppermint, Tea Tree, and/or Rosemary when I'm congested or suffering from seasonal allergies. It's a nice, "piney" scent that makes me think of home and the holidays. It blends well with Black Pepper, Cedarwood, Lemon, Lavender, Rosemary, Orange, and Peppermint oils.
Yes, it's kid safe for ages 2+.
Braided Candle Wicks
The recipes included this month are:
(Never thought to mix these oils, but it's devine!) This recipe is a tiny bit more challenging than the next recipe, but it's still a great way to get started with candle making.
(mmmm, if this isn't autumn, I don't know what is). It's also a very easy recipe. If you're new to essential oils and/or candle making, this is a great place to get started.
(made with Orange & Focus Blend oils) This doesn't have to be a sewing project, just so you know.
This is a super easy recipe and since it's going on your lips, it's right next to your nose! Aromatherapy at its finest!
Ohhhhh, roll-ons make life so easy! Plus, these are the perfect size to store in a purse or bag for on-the-go application. Plus, I just LOVE working with fractionated almond oil
It's my carrier oil of choice.
