A mental breakdown
I am tired of holding it together, y’all. I am tired of keeping the faith and being strong. I don’t feel like I can do it anymore.

I walked around the room, which was unusually quiet for once, although quiet for the second day that week as the whole class had spent most of the day two days ago taking their required reading comprehension tests. I looked at the 4 kiddos in the classroom computer area, each with their headphones on, eyes glued to their math test on the laptop screens. Back at the teacher's table were two other kids, both doing their best to take their test, with their teacher looking over their shoulder, helping them in whatever little, non-interfering ways she could.
Teacher Appreciation Week takes place (at least in the US) during the first full week of May. I am a HUGE FAN of teachers, especially my kids' teachers. Here's what we're doing for our teachers this year for Teacher Appreciation Week.
Spelling is a vital part of a child's education, and generally, kiddos start learning to spell somewhere in the preschool/pre-k/kindergarten age (unless you're Froot Loop, who started spelling his first words at age 2...). I've found a bunch of fun toys and games that can help young kids learn to spell (which also helps them on their reading journey!)
You know, I never really liked Halloween that much as a kid. Sure, it was a day to dress up and be silly and get all sorts of candy and stuff, but really, I wasn't that impressed by it.
Summer may be over and I may not be planning any more trips to the beach for now, but I found a way for my kiddos (and for me!) to keep playing with sand all year round!
We're going to wrap up our celebration of Earth Day week with one more recycled craft! This one is another super easy one and the boys LOVED it. I ended up having to make two of them because they couldn't share the first one. Read on to see how we made these easy recycled binoculars!
I'm continuing Earth Day week with another Recycled Craft! This one is a Jet Pack!!
Hello! If you frequent Mama Writes Reviews with any regularity, you're probably expecting a Quickie Question, since that's the usual agenda around here. I'm going to make an exception this week! In honor of Earth day, I'm going to do a week of Earth Day related crafts: recycled crafts, Earth related crafts, etc. We will start off with a QUICKIE CRAFT: a Construction Paper Earth.
It's been awhile since I've shared an update on how Froot Loop is doing in Pre-K! He just got a report card, so I'll go from there.
