Wishlist Wednesday: Luck of the Irish 4 Leaf Clover Editions

Hey it's that time of the week again: Wishlist Wednesday! The first WW of August 2016. This is when I find something I just HAVE to have.

When I was growing up, my grandmother and I would hunt for 4 leaf clovers together. Whenever we found one (her yard, for whatever reason had a bunch of them!), we would pick it and then press it between wax paper and put it in the middle of a book. She’d write my name on the wax paper so we’d know it was mine.

When I graduated from high school, I received a bunch of these 4 leaf clovers neatly tucked away in my congratulations card. It nearly made me cry. I have them carefully preserved and stored in a fireproof lock box.

While looking for St. Patrick’s Day activities to try with my boys a few months ago, I stumbled across this necklace:

I immediately thought of my grandmother and those 4 leaf clovers. How cool that a 4 leaf clover is in this necklace and I can wear it close to my heart!

Plus I have Irish ancestry. This would also be a fun way to show off that Irish heritage! Goin' on the wishlist!

Do you have any jewelry that has sentimental attachment? I’d love to hear about it.

This jewelry reminds me of my best friend and her family. Irish catholics. It brings fond childhood memories. This post brightened my day!

Mine would be my Mikimoto Pearl Earrings, which my Mum gave to me on my wedding day. They were hers originally, a gift from my Dad, until she handed them down to me as some sort of family heirloom.

I am not a believer in 4 leaf clover/shamrocks, but I think they do look very pretty. It's the symmetry that intrigues me.

They say the four clovers are the lucky ones! I remember when I used to go hiking with my parents and try to look for one!
