You're so Sharp! If you use Colored Pencils & Adult Coloring Books, you've GOT to have this Electric Pencil Sharpener!

This quickie writeup seems a little silly since it’s for a pencil sharpener, but since I do so much coloring with colored pencils, I thought a quick review was warranted. I color with pencils a lot because the tips are sharp and can get into small spaces easier than other implements can. I also like how easy the colors are to blend. 

The manufacturer of this sharpener boasts about a helical steel blade but doesn’t say anything else about what exactly that is. Whatever it is, it works! 

I would have given this pencil sharpener a perfect review if it weren't for the fact that it needs FOUR AA batteries. FOUR! Sheesh. That’s a lot of batteries for such a small thing. However, the battery compartment doesn’t need any screws or tools to get open, which is a plus. 

That said, I love everything else about this sharpener. It does not take up much room. It is not very loud. It is powerful. It is sleek and it works. It gets my pencils sharp. I have tried all sorts of different brands in it, both graphite and colored pencils, and it has sharpened them all very well. It does not "eat" the pencils. It gets them sharp in very little time and does not take up a lot of the pencil to do so. I’m able to sharpen any dull pencils in just a few seconds and get right back to my coloring. It also sharpens them evenly, unlike some that shave down one side but leave all the wood on the other (this was the BANE OF MY EXISTENCE in school, I tell you…). 

The sharpener is also very easy to clean. The container just pops right out so you can dump it in the trash. There’s even a safety mechanism that prevents the blade from moving while the container is absent. It sharpens about 12-15 pencils before needing to be emptied, so it’s a pretty big reservoir. 

So, if you have jumped on the grown up coloring book bandwagon or just have a lot of pencils to sharpen, get this pencil sharpener. It’s magic!
