Graze Review number 2: If You Like Snacking, You'll Want to Check This Out.

Time got away from me for awhile, but now that I'm back from vacation, I can finally get this completely honest review of my second Graze box published! I got this box several weeks ago. I've actually gotten another box since then (3, actually, but I'll write about that next time).
This was my first 8 snack Graze box. I got it for free, actually, because one of you awesome readers signed up for Graze through my referral link! If you'd like to try Graze for free, please click HERE.
In it were the following:
Chocolate Pecan Pie
Italian Herb Focaccia
Cheese Board
Jelly Doughnut
Herby Bread Basket
Apple & Cinnamon Flapjack
Stars & Stripes
Strawberry Chocolate Cheesecake
YUM! The Chocolate Pecan Pie mix made a great dessert. It has chocolate fudge pieces, pecans, chopped dates, and vanilla pumpkin seeds. This mix was incredible! The fudge was chopped into tiny little cubes. It was very good fudge too. There were a good amount of pecans in there too. There wasn't anything special about the pecans, but ya gotta have them if you're gonna call it chocolate PECAN pie. The chopped dates added a nice touch. It was like eating the gooey pecan pie filling. They were great alone but even better with the other elements. The vanilla pumpkin seeds were pretty good too. They were sweet and crunchy by themselves and they tasted good with the other pieces. All in all, it was amazing. Better than pecan pie! I'm going to move this to the "like" list so I get it a little more frequently.
The Italian Herb Focaccia mix has 4 grams of protein packed into only 130 calories! It has basil breadsticks, rosemary crostini, roasted pumpkin seeds, and smoked almonds. First of all, it had too many pumpkin seeds for my taste, and I love pumpkin seeds. They were pretty tasty though. Nice and salty. The almonds did have a nice smoky flavor and they were very good. I could have done with more almonds in place of the excess of pumpkin seeds. The rosemary crostini was amazing. It was very crunchy and was packed with rosemary flavor! The basil breadsticks were also very good. The mix all together was very good, although I had to take tons of pumpkin seeds with every bite, and I still had a bunch leftover at the end. All in all, it was good, but I'm not sure I'll keep it on my list.
The Graze Cheese Board mix was really good! My stomach got a little grumbly in the afternoon, so I thought it would make a good snack. It has cheese cashews, cheese croutons, and herb crackers. The herb crackers were a little different... they were definitely herby, but they were also slightly sweet. They were also nice and crunchy. The cheese croutons were amazing. Yum! They did have a slight cheese flavor and they were delightfully crunchy. The cheese cashews were a good addition, although they weren't overly cheesy, they tasted very good. The pieces were all pretty big, so I didn't mix and match the pieces. All of them tasted very good by themselves. It could have used more cheese flavor, but I'll definitely be leaving it on my list. Maybe if I get again, I'll add some cheese cubes. Yum.
The Jelly Doughnut mix has raspberry strings, vanilla cookie drops, raspberry cranberries, and almonds. Overall, the mix does not really taste nor remind me of a jelly doughnut, but it was still pretty good. I ate it as dessert and it was definitely sweet enough to pass as dessert. The raspberry strings were sweet, tart, and chewy. I enjoyed them very much. The vanilla cookie drops weren't anything special, but they worked very well in the mix. they were mildly sweet and had a decent crunch. The raspberry cranberries were very good. Sweet and tart and chewy, much like the raspberry strings but a completely different texture. The slivered almonds rounded out the mix with a nice crunch as well. They weren't salty or anything, but they were a great addition to the mix. Each of these elements tasted pretty good by themselves, especially the raspberry strings. All of the pieces together tasted very good, but again, did not remind me at all of a jelly doughnut. I think if they called it something different, I would enjoy it more since I was really expecting something more reminiscent of a jelly filled doughnut.
The next one I tried was the 90 calorie tray of herby bread basket. It includes basil baguettes, garlic crostini, and oregano rice crackers. It smelled very good. Mmmm. The baguettes were packed full of basil flavor and were delightfully crunchy. The garlic crostini were crispy and crunchy and paired amazingly well with the other elements. The rice crackers definitely tasted like oregano, but they had a slightly bitter aftertaste. I'm not sure if it was the rice crackers themselves or the oregano, but they were still very good. All three pieces eaten together are nearly perfection. Crunchy and tasty. I'll leave it on my list for sure.
I enjoyed the Flapjack snack. There were three 2-bite sized mini oat bars. They definitely were cinnamony and appley. There were a lot of oats in it too. The texture was very soft and chewy and they were absolutely delicious. I tried to restrain myself but I ate them all right away. They're a nice whole grain snack. I'll definitely get these again and probably request all of the other Flapjack flavors too. I love the concept. Yum. I'll definitely leave this on my list, but I won't move it to the "like" or "love" category.
The Stars and Stripes snack was interesting. The tray was only 130 calories and included blackcurrant gummy stars, raspberry gummy strings, and blueberry flavored cranberries. This mix was very good. The gummies were perfect and the cranberries were very tasty. It was a very good mix together. It was just the right combination of sweet and tartness. The blackcurrant was the most tart, but when eaten with the other elements was very balanced. It was very good but I could live with or without it.
Finally, I ate the Strawberry Chocolate Cheesecake. The tray has 120 calories and contains mini cocoa cookies, marshmallows, cranberries, and strawberry drops. The mini cookies are good but they tasted more like the strawberry than chocolate. The marshmallows were marshmallows. Nice and airy and gummy. The dried cranberries were also very good. The strawberry drops tastes like a mix of dried strawberries and gummy strawberries. I saved this snack for last because I was the most excited about it, but it was sort of a letdown. It was not very chocolatey and not very cheesecakey. I think I'll pass on it next time around. It was okay, but not nearly as good as the rest of the snacks I've gotten from Graze.
You can make your subscription weekly, biweekly, or monthly (which is what I did).
After you get and try your snacks, you can login to your account and manage your next box. If you change the snacks you receive from “try” to “like,” you will get those regularly. If you change it to “love,” you will get those often. Leaving it on “try” means you will get it occasionally.
I like the randomness of the snacks. You have an arsenal of snacks that you hand select for them to choose from, and then from that selection, you get your snacks! I love that. It has an element of surprise!
