Stand Up, Sit Down FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT: Review of Little Tikes' Plastic Table & Chair Set for Toddlers and Preschoolers

Froot Loop needed his own space to do creative things. My Grandma got him a fun table and chairs for him to eat at, do crafts, build towers, and more. It's been a great investment. 

Froot Loop got these Little Tykes table and chairs for Christmas two years ago. He was barely 1 and he was tall for his age, so these were great for him to use. He still uses them as a tall 3 ½ year old. 

The best part about this set was that there was No assembly! This left us with a Huge box to play with. He climbed in and out of the box several times but wasn’t really interested in boxes at the time. I actually ended up making a “gate” out of it so he would stop crawling up the stairs. It was a big box so this worked out pretty well. 

This kids table and chairs set is just the right size for toddlers! This activity table can be used for snacks, building, crafts and learning activities. Perfect for any room! The table is a pretty blue color and the chairs are a coordinating green. The table and chairs also coordinate with the toybox also from Little Tikes. 

Each chair has a weight limit of up to 70 pounds, so even bigger kids can sit in them. They will outgrow them in height well before hitting the weight limit. The seat height is about 10 ½ inches high, so most toddlers will be close to two years old before they can sit in these chairs by themselves. The problem Froot Loop had at first was that he could not quite reach the chair with his little tushie, so he would try to scoot backward into the chair and the chair would scoot back, leaving him on his bottom on the floor. Once he grew a little taller, he was able to sit down just fine. The chairs are 12 ¼” inches long and 15 ½ inches high and fit all the way under the table when not in use, which is a huge space saver and makes it nice for areas with little space. This table could double for eating, art, playing, and more, so there are a lot of uses for it. 

The table is very sturdy. It has held Froot Loop climbing on it and I even sat on it once and it was fine (although I do not recommend sitting on it). It is very lightweight and easily moved around the house or even outside. It is waterproof and easily cleaned up. If juice or milk is spilled, just wipe it up. No biggie. Use it for painting and then wipe up all the leftovers very easily. 

The table is a generous 24 ½” diameter, which is big enough for eating and playing. It is almost 19 inches high. Froot Loop uses this table and chairs to eat meals and snacks, for coloring/drawing/etc, for reading, for watching TV, for toys, legos, play doh, and more. He has one of the chairs in our living room to use under the coffee table where his computer is. 

I have not been able to find a way to buy just one replacement chair for if you have three kiddos or a playdate or a party or whatever. I don’t need one right now, but for some people, it might be a dealbreaker. Maybe there are other small chairs that work with the table. 

All Little Tikes products are BPA free, which is fantastic! 

We love this table and chairs. The price is reasonable, the plastic is durable, the pieces are sturdy, it is washable and waterproof, and it is a great place for little tushies to sit for all sorts of activities. It will last for years!
