Tutorial for a Fall Craft: Toilet Paper Roll & Foam Tree that Toddlers, Preschoolers, & Elementary Kids Can Make

I love autumn. I love the cooler weather and all the fun food and back when I lived out east, I LOVED the leaves changing color. I still love it, but we don’t really have a beautiful foliage down here in South Texas.
Anyway, this cute, easy craft only took us a few minutes to make. Froot Loop made three trees and Cocoa Puff made two. I’m going to keep these and bring them out every year because they turned out so cute!
Materials:
Toilet Paper/Paper Towel Roll
Foam Sheets in fall colors (ours are red, orange, yellow, and brown)
Scissors
Glue
If you can find foam sheets shaped like flowers, you’re golden! Otherwise, you’ll have to cut out the shapes yourself. No big deal!
Cut small shapes out of the craft foam
If you’re cutting a large shape out of foam, do it, otherwise, skip this step. I found flower shapes at a dollar store and I snatched them up!
Put glue all over your tree.
Have your kiddos put the small foam shapes all over the tree.
Let dry.
Cut two small slits on your toilet paper roll (both on the top, on either side of a diameter).
Insert your tree top.
Aren’t these adorable? And so easy! You could paint instead of use foam shapes. You could attach paper shapes instead of foam or even use leaf stickers! The possibilities are endless!
What’s your favorite tree?
