Wishlist Wednesday: Food Huggers - Hey, your Fruits and Veggies Need HUGS too edition.

Woo woo! It's Wishlist Wednesday time again. That means I find an awesome product on Amazon that I have to have and share it with y'all and put it on my Wishlist! This week's item belongs in the kitchen (presumably, you could also use it elsewhere!):
These Food Huggers by Farberware are amazing.
4 different sizes fit perfectly on a variety of cut fruits and vegetables. Preserve the freshness of leftover fruits and vegetables. Just push the leftover food half down into the closest sized Food Hugger and save it in your fridge until you need it again. When the food is pushed into the Food Hugger, it tightly (hugs) around the food and creates a seal to hold in the natural juices and prevent exposure to circulating air, which can cause food to spoil or dehydrate.
A set includes 4 Food Huggers measuring:
Size 3/4 inches
Size 1/4 inches
Size 3 inches
I can't tell you how many times I've had to throw half a lime away or half a tomato or onion because we didn't finish it. This seems like a perfect way to keep them fresh. No air circulating means no rotting or dehydrating, at least for a few days!
My only concern with these would be making sure they get CLEAN. They are dishwasher safe (top rack only), but I still think they'd definitely need a good swipe with a bottle brush beforehand. Reviews say this really isn't too big of a problem.
I like that these could be used as jar lids, but you'd really have to make sure that they are a really snug fit. I suppose you'd have to make sure it's a good, snug, fit on produce, too. There is a picture of them being used as can lids, but PLEASE DON'T DO THIS! You should NEVER store open cans in the fridge as it's a major botulism risk!
Anyway, these are awesome. I also love the one made specifically for avocados. I'd definitely get a lot of use out of that one.
How do you store your produce?
