Product: Instant Pot

Woot woot! Amazon.com has Instant Pots on sale! The 6 quart is only $79! (It is usually about $100!)

Honey Graham got one of these for his birthday back in June and it's been used about every other day since. This thing is AWESOME! It could easilly replace a number of gadgets in my kitchen, and I may have to declutter some more.

You can do so many things with this handy contraption: Cook rice, steam veggies and other things, keep food warm, make yogurt, and saute. It's also a slow cooker and a pressure cooker! We have used it to quickly cook chicken multiple times. I have also made a few soups with it. We've tried the rice cooker feature too and it works just as well as our fancy designated rice cooker.

It steams vegetables easily too. They're crisp and tasty. Steaming food is so much healthier for you than cooking with oil and salt!

I haven't used the saute feature too much because we have a nice stovetop, but it would be nice and handy to saute and cook all in the same pot. Maybe this fall when I make squash soups, I will experiment with that more. Hey, fewer dishes to wash! I'm all for that!

It's stainless steel and really easy to use and clean. It's dishwasher safe! Can't beat that! The lid, steamer rack, and the pot itself can all just be placed in the dishwasher for easy cleaning. The dishwasher gets it very clean and I am very pleased with this feature. I don't have time to hand wash things!

The digital display is easy to use and program. It also comes with a manual. We still haven't figured out all of the handy features! I absolutely LOVE the delayed start feature. It goes up to 24 hours (I have no idea why you'd want to wait that long, especially if there's meat involved), but it's so nice to be able to program it to start cooking and be ready at a certain time. Set it and forget it! It also does a nice job of keeping it warm without overcooking it. Our rice was nice and fluffy and warm and not too sticky or crunchy.

I'd love to try making oatmeal or porridge sometime. I have also heard you can make desserts in here too.

My mother in law has one of these as well and she uses it all the time too. She loves to make soups and stews in it.

I cannot say enough good things about this awesome kitchen gadget. Now if only it would do my laundry...

What's your go-to slow cooker dish?
