Amazon Holiday Gift List 2017: 5-7 years

Amazon.com has released their 2017 Holiday Toy Guides! I've gone through them and I'll share my best picks with y'all. I'll try to sort them by price, but remember Amazon prices are subject to change at any time. Here's the list for 5-7 year olds.

Under $5:

We'll start off this list with an add-on item. It's Littlest Pet Shop Black & White Kitten. These pets aren’t just BFFs, they’re twins. But instead of looking exactly alike, they’re total opposites. One cool kitty is inky black with teal ears, while his sister’s white as snow (with pink ears, of course!). Look closely to see one feature they do have in common – one blue eye and one green. Pretty awesome, huh? Part of the Black & White Style Collection. There are tons of other animals in the Littlest Pet Shop Collection... you just have to find the animal you like the best. 

Under $10: 

This next one is from Paw Patrol: Sea Patrol. It takes a brave pup to fly into mystery and dive into adventure. Paw Patrol Sea Patrol Light Up Skye is ready when you are! Snap on her light-up pup pack and get ready for daring underwater exploits. Activate the light by holding down the pup badge on the pack. Some of these Paw Patrol Sea Patrol sets are below $10, and others are above $10, so the next one I'll put in the next price bracket. 

Under $15: 

Rocky's Paw Patrol Sea Patrol vehicle costs a little more on Amazon. Introducing Sea Patrol pups to the rescue! Here's a game I've never heard of before: Boom Blast Stix. Do you have the nerve to play BOOM BLAST STIX? The explosive high stakes game that's loaded with excitement! Lock the sticks and stack them high. Who will be the one to make them fly? Do you have the skills to cope under the pressure? It's the game that's stacks of fun. Just don't snap or you'll blow it! This looks like so much fun. I think Froot Loop would have a blast playing it and we'd have lots of giggles and laughter together. 

Oh, Pokemon! Here's a super cute Pikachu Plus. Catch this festive 8’’ plush and bring it home to celebrate with your team! Pikachu is tough enough for battle and soft enough for bedtime! It's adorable and it might make a great gift from Santa. It measures 8" x 8" x 8." 

This Melissa and Doug Stamp a Scene Set looks like a lot of fun for those kiddos who love to do arts & crafts. There are other sets available if the Garden one is too "girly."  The sets are made of Wood, Plastic, & Rubber. Lego Juniors are a great invention. They're perfect for that intermediate age of kiddos who have mastered the Duplo blocks but want to play with the regular Lego sets but don't have quite the dexterity or patience or skill to build the regular ones. These Junior Sets use regular sized Legos, but instead of having, say, a motorcycle that takes 6 pieces to build, the Juniors set has a motorcycle that is one bigger piece. You can read about my review of Lego Juniors HERE. The set includes a simple guide to build and play, and the bigger brick pieces help build confi dence in younger kids. LEGO Juniors is an appropriate build and play experience for ages 4-7, and kids will love that they can start playing right away! Makes a great, affordable gift for any special occasion. Team up with Kai and Lloyd for some Ninja fun as they battle great white, featuring a training area with weapon stand, breakable blocks, spinning training dummy, flaming motorcycle and a shark car with flick missiles. This fun the LEGO NINJAGO movie set features a simple guide to build and play, and some bigger pieces to help build confidence in younger children. LEGO Juniors is an age-appropriate build and play experience for ages 4-7. Includes 3 minifigures. Most of the Junior Lego sets are rated very well, so think about this one too. 

This Etch A Sketch Freestyle looks like so much fun! 

The classic Etch A Sketch has been revamped to appeal to the next generation of littles ones while still keeping its original magic. Designed for budding young artists, the Etch A Sketch Freestyle features an easy-to-grip stylus and LCD screen for high-tech fun.

Some people say that the colors aren't as bright as they expected or that it's really more of a Magnadoodle than an Etch-A-Sketch, so maybe look at this one in the store before buying it. 

Froot Loop has just started to get into Transformers. Under $25: 

Here's a toy that combines two of the best things ever: Legos and Star Wars! The Star Wars Episode VIII Resistance Transport Pod Building Set. Builders will be right in the middle of the action with the LEGO Star Wars Resistance Transport Pod set! They can recreate exciting scenes from Star Wars: Episode VIII, The Last Jedi or create their own. The transport pod features a cockpit with removable canopy and detachable panels. Kids will have endless role play opportunities pretending to be Finn or Rose with BB-8 as their sidekick. This makes a great gift idea for LEGO fans or Star Wars fans! Make a quick escape with Finn and Rose in the Resistance Transport Pod. This Let's Play House Dust! Sweep! is actually on Froot Loop's Wish List. He actually still likes to help us clean the house (just not pick up his own toys!). Re-imagine the everyday and make big imaginations feel right at home with this sturdy, kid-sized cleaning set! Froot Loop got this VTech Kidizoom Camera for Christmas last year, and he was just a bit on the too young side for it, but over the summer, he really got the hang of it. I let him bring it to his class field trip to the zoo and he got several pretty nice photos. He also has taken pictures of every single one of our fans and vents. He's learning and getting better all the time. This kid-friendly camera includes all the tools budding photographers want to use! I had to put a Hot Wheels Track on this list. I have such good memories of playing with my cars and track as a kid. This sturdy elevated figure-eight track with four awesome intersecting crash zones delivers amped up speed for exciting crashing action! Up next, we have this interesting First Automobile Engineer Kit. Read the funny story of Karlie and Ty Omega, two inquisitive kids who build simple models of the vehicles they encounter on their comical trip to the supermarket with their dad. If you have any Lego Maniacs in your house, you absolutely need to get them this Creative Box. Kids can start exploring their creative side with the LEGO Classic Large Creative Brick Box! This collection of LEGO bricks in 33 different colors provides the perfect creative toolkit for budding builders of all ages to enjoy some classic LEGO construction. With many different windows and doors, along with other special pieces, kids will stay busy for hours with all of the building options! Suggest a story-starter to get their creativity going like an undersea adventure or a day at the zoo and watch what 'out-of-the-box' creations they come up with, or use one of the included building ideas to get things started! Either way, this set allows imaginations to run wild! Introduce your kids to the LEGO sets you loved when you were young! This one has 790 pieces!  

Under $75:

If your kids are like mine, they have to CONSTANTLY be moving! This trampoline is a great, safe way to encourage that movement. The enclosure net is tightly woven and sewn directly to the jump mat to eliminate dangerous gaps.
