POM Turkey: Here's an Adorable Thanksgiving craft to keep the kiddos busy while dinner gets ready

I’ve already made a few turkey crafts with the boys, but I couldn’t resist making this one too! It was a great opportunity to work on sorting colors and we ended up with really cute turkeys to boot. Both of the boys needed minimal help (just supervision), and I'm so happy with how they turned out!
Materials:
Paper plate (we sometimes use the small ones)
Toilet Paper/Paper Towel roll
Scissors
Glue
Markers)/Paint
Google Eyes (optional)
Pom Poms
Cut the plate in half.
Divide the plate into wedge sections (it’s Thanksgiving, so think like a pie!)- one for each color you’re going to do.We did 6 different colors- Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, and Purple.
Have your kids color or paint each wedge the desired color they want.
“X” out the section where the toilet paper roll is going to be attached, or color it brown like Froot Loop did.
Sort the pom poms by color if desired. Cocoa Puff did, but Froot Loop didn't.
Pour some glue into a cup. Dip the poms into the glue.
Glue the pom poms to the plate, making sure to match the pom pom’s color to the color of the plate! Fill your plate!
(Or, just put them on the plate willy nilly like Cocoa Puff did!)
Cut out a beak and waddle from your foam (or construction paper: I won’t judge.)
Glue Google eyes and beak and waddle to the front of the toilet paper roll, or use foam/paper.
Glue the back of the toilet paper roll to the “Xed” out section of the pom pom covered plate.
Gobble Gobble!
Do you always eat too much at Thanksgiving?
Comments
And yes! I always eat way too much.
And we all always eat too much as well.
