A Place for your Beach Bum: All of the things I'm putting in my new Beach Bathroom!

I’m planning on renovating my downstairs bathroom this year. It has been the same since I painted it back in 2010 when we moved into this house.
I like my green bathroom, but it’s time for a change.
Back in 2010, this bathroom was wood paneling. (The WHOLE HOUSE was wood paneling, argh!) I picked two colors of green to paint in here and it made it a lot lighter. I then found some wallpaper stickers that matched the green and put those all around.
We replaced the disgusting blue toilet that was in here and I put a few layers of ceramic paint on our ugly blue sink.
I also did the sink tile myself to cover the gross counter.
Anyway, this is what our bathroom looks like now. I have a vision of a bright beach bathroom!
Here’s some of the items I have picked out for the new theme:
I want to put this lighthouse tea light holder on a pretty shelf.
I also got this vintage looking lantern tea light holder.
I am loving these pictures I’m going to hang on the walls.
This pretty shell chime is going to hang in the window.
I was given three Starfish Hooks for Christmas. I think these will make beautiful towel hooks.
Aw, these seashell shower curtain hooks are so pretty!
I also picked out this cute beach chair that I plan on putting on our vanity.
I need this toothbrush holder in my life, or at least, in my bathroom.
How cute is this coordinating trash can!?
I need some hand towels and I thought these would go nicely.
And here’s the bath towels I picked.
I thought this pretty shower curtain would be a nice touch.
My vision for this Beach sign is to hang it on the outside of the bathroom door.
Isn’t this boat soap dish the cutest thing ever?
I love how well the lotion/soap dispenser fits in with the set, too.
This bathmat took FOREVER to get here, but it’s even cuter in person!
I am undecided about this cute ship’s wheel. I think I’ll have to wait until the bathroom is done before I make my final decision.
I LOVE this clock though.
I haven’t picked my paint color for the walls yet. Ideally, I’d LOVE to get a blue/green color and start dark at the bottom and go lighter to the top, but I’m not sure how hard fading the paint will be. I also have tiles picked out, but I think I should paint first…
I also want to put those colorful glass tiles up around the shower stall.
We’re undecided about getting a new vanity and sink. I’d like to get one that’s just a little bit smaller because there’s a lot of unnecessary counter space in there, and we don’t have much in the drawers or cabinet right now.
So there you have it! I’m excited to do this, but it will probably take a LONG time for me to actually get it all done.
Have you ever remodeled a bathroom?
