We didn't do any songs as such, but always read stories that fired the imagination and eventually got them off to dreamland.

I can't sing to save my life :D but I do vividly remember humming a lovely Afrikaans song called "Kinder's van die wind" (Children of the wind) Everytime I hear it, it brings back beautiful memories of my kids and snuggle time

We're another family that sings "You are my sunshine". That's my personal favourite. My son's favourite was "Edelweiss", DD1 loved Barney's "I love you, you love me, we're a happy family", DD2 and DD3 both loved "Twinkle Twinkle"

Don't have kids so don't have to sing them any songs :) My parents used to sing me old dutch songs. Don't actually remember what they were...
Christa - October 9, 2018 6:59 AM
We listen to music more than I sing it. No one wants to hear me. Lol. My son loves anything he hears on Sesame Street.
Czjai Reyes-Ocampo - October 9, 2018 8:31 AM
"When We Dance" by Sting. My son loved it when I would cradle him in my arms and 'dance' him to sleep. :)
Megan - October 9, 2018 9:03 AM
My parents played me a lot of classical music and Elton John as a kid, honestly! Haha.

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Over the Rainbow are two melodies kids seem to love!! Lullabies are such a great way to bond with the little ones.

Funny questions, as I normally do not speak Spanish at home but when my son was smaller I would sing lullabies in Spanish. It was called "Dormir Mi Nino" meaning Sleep my Baby.

I don't have kids, but I always loved Twinkle Twinkle little star while growing up!
Charlene - October 9, 2018 1:36 PM

I sang "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star," "Somewhere over the rainbow," and "Que Sera Sera" to my kids when they were little. Now when I babysit for my grandson, I sing "Xiao Xing Xing" (Mandarin version of Twinkle Twinkle little star) and "You are My Sunshine."
Elizabeth O - October 11, 2018 1:04 PM
My kids are older now so it's not a topic on my mind. Let's just say I sang all the classic lullabies and then some. :)
Nandita - October 11, 2018 1:50 PM
Both my sons love the Cuppycake song. Whenever my younger one gets fidgety, I can calm him down with this song, not sure why.
