Geniani Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier: It's COOL and it's SONIC!

We’re big fans of humidifiers. In our climate, it can get very hot and dry during the summer months.  In the winter, the central heat pulls moisture out of the air.  It’s a nightmare to wake up with a pounding headache from dry sinuses.

We have a humidifier next to our bed, the kids have one in their room, and on especially dry days we put one in the living room to give the entire house some extra moisture.

There’s not a lot of space on the bedside table, so a small humidifier is a plus.  The Geniani Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier is great — it pushes out a lot of water vapor and has a small footprint.

It has a night light (more on that in a moment), a two-liter capacity, it’s very quiet, has a 360-degree mist nozzle, automatic shut off, and a timer (2 hours, 4 hours, 8 hours).  Note that it does not work with essential oils.

The humidifier comes with the unit, a power cable, and a manual.  It’s easy to setup.  Remove the water tank, open the cap, fill with distilled water, put the cap back on, and put the tank on the base.  Now it’s ready to use.

The buttons are touch-sensitive.  There’s the power button that controls the humidifier — the first touch turns it on high with the LED night light on, second touch turns off the light, third touch turns it on low with the light on, the fourth touch turns off the light, and the fifth touch turns off the unit.  It’s simple.  There’s a separate touch-sensitive timer button.  Just tap it until its set for the amount of time you want.

The LED night light is under the tank, in the back of the unit, so that it illuminates the water.  The nozzle at the top of the tank turns so you can direct the water vapor coming out of the humidifier.

With the lights off, the humidifier projects a neat, shimmering water effect on the surfaces around it.  Unfortunately, it is a blue light and that color light isn’t recommended for nighttime sleeping.  It’d be nice if the LED color was changeable so we could use a red light at night.

The Geniani Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier puts out a good amount of water vapor on both high and low.  Plus it fits on the bedside table!  While the blue shimmery light effect can be relaxing during the day, it’s not great for sleeping.  Fortunately, you can just turn off that blue light and enjoy the moisture.

How do you try to resolve your allergies and health issues?

Wow! This humidifier looks awesome. I love that it's compact and lights up. Great review!

This humidifier rocks! I actually like the blue glow - it can work as a night light. At our cabin, in the winter, with all of the elevation we get super dry snow. Which is great for skiing.... horrible for moisture in the house. This looks like a great addition to help keep things a little less static and a tad more humid!

This looks like it would work for any room of the house! So compact and light, plus that blue glow is perfect as a nightlight! I might have to grab this for my kids room. Thanks for sharing!

This looks like a really good humidifier. Where I live, we use humidifiers year round, i tend to go through them pretty quickly. I'll have to check this one out!

I love how small this humidifier is. We use one in our girls' bedroom - definitely key in the dry, Canadian winter.

Love this review! My whole family suffers from asthma and allergies and we have a humidifier in nearly every room of our house. This is such a great review, I love how small and compact this one is yet it has a pretty decent storage capacity too.

This looks so cute and compact!
I may have to invest in one because I've heard that they can help with asthma, and my partner is awful at the moment.

Thank you for this :)

I live in a dry climate and humidifiers are necessary! I purchased one last year that already broke so I’m on the hunt for a new one. Thanks for the review!

aisasami - April 16, 2019 7:10 PM
This looks cool. Is this available internationally? I have to use humidifiers now or I get sick.

I have a humidifier I use when we’re sick. But it always get this gross black stuff floating in it so I tend to forget it.

I've been thinking about getting a humidifier because our house is extremely dry in the winter. I don't think I'd like one that lights up though.

This looks like a great humidifier!! I love that it lights up, too. And it’s a nice size.
