Scoop-Scoopin' Boogie: Review of TWO Kitty Litter Scoopers!
By far, the WORST part of cat ownership is CLEANING THE LITTERBOX! I know from experience that having a quality kitty litter scooper makes the job SO MUCH easier. Check out these two kitty litter scoopers I've gotten to try:
First of all, I am NOT taking photos of a litter box, because... gross. I tried to take a photo of the cat, but she wasn't interested and you know, FINE... I didn't want a photo of her anyway, right? And actually, we use these scoopers to clean up after the dogs outside because these scoops are so big, they work very well to clean up after doggy doo doo. I don't like the pooper scooper things because you don't get as much control as a scoop like this, and BOTH of these worked very well for our needs! And yes, they do work great for litter boxes too... not that the cat cares about that in the least...
Yeah, look at those three... they may LOOK all cute and cuddly, but really, they're just getting ready to POOP... AGAIN! Three dogs = SO MUCH POOP!
The first scooper for today is the iPrimio Scooper Monster Cat Litter Scoop with Easy Grip Soft Foam Handle for Sore Hands
The first thing I noticed is HOW BIG IT IS! Scooping a litter box takes NO time at all, and really, it makes easy work of cleaning up the dog poop outside too.
The second thing I noticed is that this thing is SOLID! It's massive... I dropped it and threw it and stomped on it and it didn't even show the slightest sign of wear (and I bet I looked pretty silly doing my "kitty litter scoop break dance" too).
It's not only huge, but it's DEEP! And since it's not flimsy, it takes only a few scoops to do a whole standard-sized litter box. It also takes only 1 or 2 scoops for the doggy doo doo in the yard as well. (We take the smaller, shorter handle one with us on walks and camping since it's easier to carry than the long-handled one).
It also did well in the corners of the litter box too. HUZZAH!
Now, I don't have hand or grip issues, but I can imagine that for those who do have it, this handle would be SO much better to hold than just a standard one. Those regular standard ones in the dollar aisle aren't even comfortable for ME to hold...
They say they're designed by cat owners, and I believe them! This scooper has it all and does it all, and at a very affordable price.
This is the iPrimio Scoop Monster Litter Scoop with Long Handle and Soft Grip
This scooper is just like the other iPrimio scoops, but it has a super long handle. This is fantastic for people with back problems or knee problems, or really, just anyone who doesn't want to bend over as far. The grip is soft, comfortable, and easy on the hands. It is super heavy duty and I would imagine it's very hard or even impossible to break.
This scooper is a MONSTER scooper! It's HUGE! It's nearly 2 inches deep, so it can scoop a LOT of poop! Plus, in the litterbox, most boxes work best with about 2 inches of litter, so this is a perfect depth for litterboxes.
My only slight disappointment is that the tines are a little further apart for some reason, so it doesn't get as small of pieces as the other scoopers can. Overall, I think it's worth it though.

The hanging bracket that comes with either/both of these scoops is a very nice touch. It's convenient to have the scoopers handy and always know where they are when it's time to do the "dirty work."
