Roundup of Sandboxes and Sand Toys!

We finally bought the boys a sandbox! They’ve been having so much fun scooping, digging, sifting, and molding, and Mama’s been on the hunt for new things we can play with in there. Here’s a list of some things I found!

The Step2 Play & Store Sandbox with sandbox lid is fun with a contemporary design and plenty of space for multiple kids to play. There are 4 small molded seats in the corners. To keep the lid on, I made some straps similar to luggage straps out of 2 D-rings and some nylon webbing. It can hold up to 200 pounds of sand, which is why I ultimately opted to buy this one instead of the one below. 

This Step2 kid-favorite is an elevated sand table that keeps the sand at convenient level for toddlers. The Naturally Playful Sand Table comes with an accessory set that includes two shovels and claw rakes and a bucket, and a protective lid with elastic ties helps keep sand clean and dry. It also features molded-in roadways on the lid for even more imaginative play. The Sand Table's smooth, wood textures blend in with traditional residential landscapes. It can hold up to 40 pounds of sand. I like the idea of the raised sand box, but really, this one can only support one bag of sand, and I wanted more sand for the boys to play in. 

This Little Tikes sandbox with a lid has a great construction theme for hours of active play. Kids will build sandcastles, roads, tunnels and more - whatever they can imagine! Kids can use the crane to scoop and dump. Includes 7 accessories. The Excavator really works to pick up sand and load the trucks. It also features Molded in ramps and roadways in the sand area. The Lid doubles as a truck ramp and it Holds 100lbs. of sand. I thought this one was REALLY cute but probably a little too young and too small for my two boys (ages 4 and 6 ½ at time of writing) and also, it holds less sand than the one we bought. 

Cocoa Puff got this really awesome digger for Christmas! The Big Dig encourages kids to get outside and have more fun in their own backyards! With this ride-on digger, kids can dig in sand, dirt or snow for year-round play! With its sturdy metal construction, the Big Dig can handle it all! The two-handed controls make digging fun and easy. The Big Dig helps kids improve their manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination! Weight limit: 110 lbs.

Young aspiring chefs will love cooking up some great beach treats with this lovely, bright, and sea creature-inspired baking set!
