Review of Fisher Price Peek-A-Blocks: Fun, Interactive, Stacking, Animal & Transportation Blocks

I have another fun set of blocks to tell you about today. (My kids sure seem to love blocks!)
Fisher Price has made a line of Peek-a-Blocks. We have the vehicle set of blocks and the tumblin’ sounds giraffe. There are other sets to go with these, but we have enough! I’ve picked up several single blocks at thrift stores over the years and they work with the giraffe perfectly.
The vehicle blocks are adorable. There’s a cute little train that spins around, a car on a spring, a helicopter that flies around, a bulldozer with little balls, a boat, and a plane. These blocks are fun to play with by themselves, or babies can stack them or drop them down the giraffe.
The Tumblin’ Sounds Giraffe comes with 5 zoo themed blocks, including a monkey, lion, alligator, panda, and zebra. The blocks go down the giraffe’s head and fall down to the bottom. When the blocks hit the bottom, the giraffe makes a sound. There’s also a little ledge for the blocks to stack behind the giraffe.

The giraffe takes 2 AA batteries.
For the record, the Fisher Price roller blocks are not really compatible with these peek a blocks in that the roller blocks don’t fit in the giraffe. The peek a blocks can be dropped down the pinko side of the roller block wall though.
This set has been around forever it seems. I’m seeing reviews going back to 2002!
Did you have this set? What did you like about it?
