Wishlist Wednesday: Educational Number Learning Game For Children and Family Game Night

It's Wishlist Wednesday time again! I found a really interesting game this week:

This fast, fun and clever number game by Mobi(R) is a thrilling way to bring family and friends together through mathematics. Just spread the tiles out on any flat surface and see who can make the best equation "pods" and get rid of all of their tiles first. It's simple. Each player starts with a certain number of tiles. They must use all of their tiles in each pod and each equation they form must include one "operation sign" and one "equal sign." The equations in the pod must all overlap by sharing common tiles. There are no limits to the number of "number" and "operation" tiles that can be used, but the left and right side of the "equal" sign must always equate. The fastest player wins! Promotes excellent social skills, focus, and basic math skills.

Both of my boys love numbers. Plus, I'm a physics major, so I have a love for math. I think right now all we'd be able to do is match numbers and mayyyyyyybe some very basic addition for Froot Loop. I like the idea of using these to help teach addition though. I think I'm going to put them on his wishlist for his birthday!

What was your favorite subject in school?

I think this might be a good game to teach math to my children, especially my son who's doesn't really care for math. I like how you can switch up the game and do various math activities with this one set.

That sounds like such a fun game to play with the kids, especially now when so many kids struggle to understand the basic mathematical building blocks

Educational games are the only one's we purchase in our home. They are not only for fun but for learning as well.

This will come in handy for our family we have 3 still learning the basic of math kills and then after we are done we could easily donate it to the classroom.

my kiddos are struggling in math, this would be such a fun way to practice and get them to be involved in doing math without making it look like "homework"
