Cocoa Puff’s favorite toys are often the simplist. He loves the basic balls and blocks. We received a set of Infantino’s Squeeze and Stack blocks for Christmas and they are a big hit here.

Unlike his other favorite blocks that roll around (see review HERE ), these are about as simple as can be. They are soft and squeezable and great for teething. The set of 8 blocks have numbers, animals, and shapes on them and come in a nice zipper storage bag. They also come in an array of fun, bright colors!

The blocks are BPA free. They are great for squeezing and stacking and also for playing in the bathtub (they FLOAT!). One word of advice if putting them in the bathtub (or pool) or washing them in the dishwasher: there is a hole in them that will trap water and can invite mold. Personally, I wouldn’t use these in the water until the hole is closed. Hot glue is great for this. The blocks are textured on each side and Cocoa Puff loves to dig his fingers into the crevices and play with the textures. They also make a slight squeaking noise when banged together or thrown.

They are perfect for teething since they're soft, textured, and rubbery. Cocoa Puff isn't much for teethers, but man, he loves chewing on these blocks.

My favorite thing about these blocks is how soft they are. When Froot Loop gets crazed and starts throwing toys at Cocoa Puff (why he thinks this is a great way to play with his little brother, I’ll never know), these blocks don’t hurt him.

These blocks are fun to stack and knock down. They’re very easy for little hands to pick up, especially with all the textures. When Cocoa Puff has playdates, these blocks are ALWAYS played with. It seems that every baby loves these things. They have held up well to chewing, throwing, etc. They are great to take in the car or on trips since they don’t take up much room and always seem to be played with. Our church nursery has several sets of these and other than a few being lost or accidentally taken home or thrown away or whatever, they’re all still in practically perfect shape!

These blocks are almost always my go-to 1st birthday gift. Simply put, I love them! Cocoa Puff loves them too!

Do your kids prefer high tech or low tech toys?

These look like a lot of fun. My kids always want the high tech toys, but play most with low tech. Heck, we got three days of fun out of a cardboard sword, paper crown and two boxes stacked on top of each other to be a "dragon." I've seen these blocks around before, but now I'm thinking I should pick some up for my 10 month old. Thanks for sharing!

YES! Cardboard swords FTW always! I'll tell you... my youngest will be 3 in a couple of weeks, and we still get lots of use out of these blocks. He doesn't chew on them anymore, lol, but we use them for counting and colors and math. They also make good projectiles apparently (eye roll). They're a lot of fun.
