It's Wishlist Wednesday time! It's that time of the week where I find something on Amazon that I just HAVE to HAVE and add it to my wishlist! This week's item really POPS!

This looks interesting. I have always had a thing for those fruit arrangements with the star and flower shaped fruits (name rhymes with smedible blarrangements). If you’ve ever tried to cut the fruit into fun shapes yourself, you give up pretty quickly. I even have mini cookie cutters and those work decently enough for easy fruits like banana and watermelon and maybe kiwi slices, but forget it for anything else. And buying it premade costs an absolute FORTUNE! (And one time, the fruit was horrible…)

The cookie cutters I have are definitely easier to use than trying to freehand cut everything, but I like the idea of this. The concept is that you don’t have to take the time to push all the food out after you cut it… the popper is supposed to do that for you (The reviews are mixed about how well it works).

Don’t get me wrong… I am not into those Bento lunches where everything is all neat and tidy and creative. Ain’t nobody got time for that! But, This wouldn’t take much time at all and it would be cute and festive and fun.

We don’t throw many parties, but the ones we do always have fruit and cheeses since everyone likes them and it’s not a ton of prep. I like that this comes with many different shapes: circle, heart, two flowers, one butterfly, one sun, one moon, one star, one gingerbread figure, one bell, one diamond and one X.

I can imagine using these for cheese and bread and sandwich meats for Froot Loop and Cocoa Puff. Honey Graham would even get a kick out of them too. Heck, I’d smile if I were given star, heart, sun, butterfly, or flower shaped mini sandwiches. Froot Loop would probably have a good time cutting up the food as well since he’s always interested in helping me in the kitchen. We would have so much fun making fruit designs!

This is definitely going on my wish list!

How do you make your fruit and cheese etc. “pretty” for parties or just everyday eating?
