Both of the kiddos and I tried these Horizon Snack Grahams awhile back. I couldn’t stop eating them and Froot Loop had a HUGE handful and kept asking for more.

Even Cocoa Puff had a few of them. He seemed to enjoy them and they dissolved easily in his mouth.

The graham cookies are made with organic wheat and have 8 grams of whole grains and 15% of the daily recommended amount of calcium per 15 cookie serving. There is organic whole wheat flour (no yucky bleached white flour), organic cane sugar, organic enriched flour (enriched with niacin, iron, thiamin, riboflavin, and folic acid), canola oil, pear powder, calcium carbonate, sweet potato powder, honey, sea salt, baking soda, organic soy lecithin, and organic vanilla extract.

That’s it. No artificial colors or flavorings. No white flour or sugar. No high fructose corn syrup. Hooray!

Each 15 cookie serving has 140 calories, 5 grams of fat (no saturated or trans fat), 125 mg of sodium, 22 g of carbs (1 g fiber, 9 g sugar), and 1 g of protein.

I love that there is no artificial colors or flavors in these snacks. I also like that they use actual pear and sweet potato powder as flavoring in the cookies. There is no high fructose corn syrup or preservatives in the cookies either. It’s hard to find products without artificial ingredients and high fructose corn syrup. It is even harder to find products without these things that actually taste good and that the kiddos will eat. It is harder still to find these at a reasonable price and be able to find them on a regular grocery store trip.

The cookies are great sized for both of the boys. Cocoa Puff had no problem picking them up and nibbling on them. I made sure to watch him, but he did just fine with them. He took little bites and chewed them with his cute little teeth.

Froot Loop enjoyed them. He said, “those are really good, Mama,” and kept asking for more. I think we ate about half the box in one serving (there are about 7 servings in a box… oops). We ate more the next day and finished off the box (oops again!).

Froot Loop also LOVES that the cookies look like cows and Earths. He is really into space and planets right now (thanks, Star Trek!) and he has always had a thing for cows. The company mascot is Happy the Cow.

The graham crackers come in Honey, Cinnamon, and Chocolate

There are also crackers that come in original and cheddar.

We have tried other Horizon products too. Cocoa Puff LOVES the super squeeze pouches. They come in orange, mixed berry, and strawberry.

I’d like to try the fruit snacks since Cocoa Puff is pretty obsessed with fruit gummy snacks lately. They have berry and strawberry flavors.

The sandwich crackers in peanut butter or cheese are amazing and I have a hard time controlling myself when we have an open box of those as well.

Since Horizon Organic does not use artificial colors or ingredients in their snack products, I feel confident allowing my kids to snack on them. They are tasty and healthy without all the nasty artificial ingredients that so many snacks contain. The important thing is that my kids love them and I love them too.
