Stack Attack! Review of Fisher Price's Stack & Explore Blocks Toy for Baby

We have several sets of stacking blocks here. We have circles, stars, bowls, cups, etc. Cocoa Puff was given these stacking blocks and so we added them to our arsenal. It is a set of 5 brightly colored blocks that nest inside each other as well as stack. They are a little harder to stack than the circles since you have to line up the sides.
At first, Cocoa Puff and I played together. I stacked them up and he raced over to knock them down. The blocks can be stacked in any direction with a little bit of care. Now, he likes to stack them up himself since he's able to line up the sides pretty well by himself.
Each block has a different animal, number, texture, and more. They all nest inside each other. Instead of having the tops of the cups all sort of resting on top of each other, the blocks all rest completely inside each other, so they don’t take up much room at all.
One side of the block has dots on it corresponding with the number on the top of the block. I like this feature because it encourages counting and number recognition. Another side of the blocks has a textured surface, which is great for tactile development. The other two sides have animals and characters on them.
Even though they’re a little harder to stack than the circle cups, they’re still pretty easy to stack. The top of each block has a beveled lip, which makes it easier to stack without accidentally knocking it over all the time.
It’s inexpensive and a lot of fun. This is actually the stacking set that Cocoa Puff plays with the most. He likes his other ones, but the stars are hard to line up, and the cups is a set of 10 and it’s too tall for him right now. This set of 5 blocks is just the right size for a baby.
When was the last time you played with blocks?
