St Patrick's Day Sensory Bin: My Toddler AND Preschooler both LOVED this!

We've been having fun playing with our St. Patrick's Day sensory bin! I don't do a whole lot of sensory bins, but this one was a BIG HIT!
I tried to do a combination of rainbows and shamrocks.
First, I put all of our homemade colored rice in a large plastic bin.
Then, in went the foam shamrocks.
Then I added all of our rainbow and gold pirate coins.
Next went the shamrock necklaces that I cut into smaller pieces. I also found some rainbow crinkle balls and some sticker gems.
Then, I added some more rainbow things like beads, and some plastic diamonds, and some glass vase filler beads.
Finally, I bought some Paas Easter Egg Rainbow Cups.
First, we did some sorting by type. Beads in one, crinkle balls in another, and diamonds in another. This didn't hold his attention for long.
His favorite thing was to dump the coins onto our trampoline and shove them into the sides and then laugh hysterically when they fell through to the ground. Silly boy.
Then he did a lot of dumping and scooping, which was the intended purpose of the bin as a whole.
He loved holding and touching all the different items.
Finally, he gathered up all the different coins and put them all in the cups.
After a while, he had enough and took one of the cups over to his little table.
Overall, this was a very fun activity and I'll leave it out for another week or so until switching over to our Easter bin!
What's your favorite color of the rainbow?
