TWOOOOOOO! How we celebrated my TWO YEAR OLD'S birthday (even though it was VBS week)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY COCOA PUFF!!!

Well, my TWO year old woke up to the streamers and balloons everywhere like we always do for birthdays. He had a blast with them and he kept saying "Look, PRETTY!" Then, I convinced him to snuggle with me and he gave me some wonderful birthday snuggles and I savored. every. moment.

Then, we had pancakes with MMs! Chocolate for breakfast is another birthday tradition around here. He really enjoyed them.

Since I had a little time before VBS, I thought we'd open some presents! Woo! Here, he got his new book about Emergency Rescue Vehicles

He was SO EXCITED to get this giant longhorn stuffed animal. I know I know, we do not NEED more stuffed animals around here, but I couldn't resist this guy.

We went to Vacation Bible School and the kiddos went to the nursery while I did my science and crafts rotation. The nursery workers brought the kiddos out to do a small craft or experiment with me at the end of the day. Here they are learning about how markers are made of different colors and when you draw with them, the color spreads. They loved it!

Our VBS worker appreciation luncheon was also on his birthday, so he got to eat lunch at the church with Honey Graham and me (and Froot Loop). He really enjoyed his baked potato and salad!

After a nice, long, birthday nap, he woke up and we watched Price is Right together and played with some of his new toys. He also got this fun Melissa and Doug Car Carrier Truck which he played with like crazy! Then we went to his favorite restaurant where he ate half his body weight in chips...

Then, it was time for more presents! Yayyyy!

He got another Tabbed Board Book which he wasn't particularly interested in. This one was the Busy Home book. We have several others (see post HERE)

This kid LOVES Doctor Who. He always tries to steal my 10th Doctor Plush (Oh I Love David Tennant SO MUCH). We got him his own Talking and Light Up 11th Doctor Plush, Light Up/Sound TARDIS plush, and Talking/Light Up Red Dalek Plush. They are hilarious and he loves them.

We love the VTech Go Go Smart Wheels and Animals (See Post HERE here, and I found a new one: the Monster Truck. The kid loves monster trucks! He also loves his new hat. I think he's worn it the entire time!

Then it was CAKE TIME! Froot Loop picked out Funfetti Cake and Frosting. We tried making it the soda can way, where you add a can of soda to the dry mix instead of the eggs, oil, and water, and it turned out really well!

My parents dropped by for a few minutes to give him one of his birthday presents: Melissa and Doug Condiment Set. This was HILARIOUS because Cocoa Puff has a thing for "keppup" (Ketchup), in that he wants to put it on EVERYTHING. No joke. EVERYTHING.

I love this boy so much. I can't believe he's TWO! How is he TWO? No more putting 1 year olds to bed... No more 1 year olds... Sad.

Do you have any birthday traditions for your kids?
