Itsy Bitsy Glittery Spider Craft: A Scary - Cute Halloween Craft for Toddlers, Preschooler, & Elementary Kids!

Oh my goodness, this just popped up in my Facebook memories from a year ago! I remember making these spiders with the boys like it was just yesterday! It was SO MUCH FUN! I'll share it with you today just in time for Halloween!
Materials Needed:
Glitter Glue or Glitter and Glue (Glitter Glue is much easier for little hands)
[Scissors}(http://amzn.to/2yuDtFm)
Markers or Paint- I used Markers for this one.
Mini Pom Poms I'm partial to the sparkly glitter ones.
I used this opportunity to sneak in some learning. While we got our supplies together, and while we were putting the spiders together, I talked to the boys about spiders and how they have 8 legs and how they make webs, etc.
Froot Loop decided he needed some inspiration, so he found his little spider from the Melissa and Doug Bug Fill and Spill Set
First, we cut out spider legs from a piece of construction paper. This is a great way to work on those fine motor skills. We lined them up on a piece of paper in groups of 8 (worked on our counting skills) and then squirted glitter glue all over them. We set these aside to let them dry.
Next, I let them go to town with coloring their plates black. They got impatient and needed some help finishing it. When they're all colored, cut them in half.
Next, I had the boys count out either 3, 4, or 5 google eyes and put that many dots of glue on their plate. Then, they picked up the eyes and put them on the glue dots.
Next came the nose! One bigger drop of glue for the pom pom nose!
The next part was the hardest part for Froot Loop and I didn't even attempt to do it with Cocoa Puff. We cut out little triangle teeth and then glued them in a line along the bottom of the face. I think Froot Loop could handle this step by himself now, but I did have to help him quite a bit last year.
Ta-da! Here are our complete faces. They're adorable. Our spider legs were still drying, so we took a break. Once they dried, we glued them to the top part of the plate.
If desired, you could punch a hole in the top and use some string to hang it. I just put some masking tape on the back of ours and attached them to the doorway in our dining room so it looked like they were crawling up the wall.
This was a super fun, super sweet, and super easy craft for my little guys. I still have them and I will put them up this weekend when I put up all the Halloween decorations.
After we were done, we watched Charlotte's Web (The new one.)
Do you decorate for Halloween?
