It's December!!! Thanksgiving is over and now everyone's eyes have turned to Christmas. I've got the house all decorated and my shopping mostly done so now I just have to wrap presents and prepare for the three weeks that Froot Loop has off of school! So anyway, it's Monday, which means Quickie Questions here on the blog, where I ask y'all a question to get you talking in the comments. This week's question:

Mama Writes Reviews - December 4, 2017 11:44 AM
I am impressed!
LaToya - December 4, 2017 10:22 AM
I only have one credit card but I have never used it. It’s more of a emergency fund type of thing.
Mama Writes Reviews - December 4, 2017 11:44 AM
That's awesome!
hkvontrapp - December 4, 2017 10:52 AM
None atm!
Mama Writes Reviews - December 4, 2017 11:44 AM
Excellent!
Tiara - December 4, 2017 12:14 PM
Originally, none. But we're now on the journey of buying a house and have no credit history, so that backfired lol. We now have 3 between my husband and 1.
Mama Writes Reviews - December 4, 2017 1:33 PM
Yeah, that's about what I have, for a similar scenario.
Caitlin - December 4, 2017 12:25 PM
Technically I have 5 open right now, but I only use 2. The others I just opened for the promos (airline miles or cash bonuses) and won't use again. I use two because one gets the best rewards, but it's AmEx and not every business accepts it so I have a Visa as a backup. I have excellent credit and love to maximize my credit card rewards. I almost never pay for a flight because of them and also get at least a few thousand in cash back every year :)
Mama Writes Reviews - December 4, 2017 1:33 PM
That's great to use your credit cards to get rewards. One of mine has a great cash back option!
Flossie McCowald | SuperMomHacks - December 4, 2017 12:36 PM
Oh, dear - I don't know? (most of them are old cards locked up in the safe that I don't use anymore, incl several from now-bankrupt store chains lol...)
Mama Writes Reviews - December 4, 2017 1:34 PM
Ha. Yeah, I have a few cards from stores that don't exist anymore too.
mjchristine - December 4, 2017 1:32 PM
A lot but we only used 1 and everyone in the family from mom and dad and sibs have their own card in the same bank.
Mama Writes Reviews - December 4, 2017 1:34 PM
I only use 1 too.
Belle - December 4, 2017 1:39 PM
I have a lot. We're looking to buying a house in the future and having to migrate here in the US a few years ago, I didn't have any credit history so I'm trying to build that.

It's a good way to build credit. Good luck to you!
Erin @LovePeaceBeauty - December 4, 2017 1:45 PM
I have one credit card! :)
Mama Writes Reviews - December 5, 2017 7:42 PM
I have one I use as well.
Margaret - December 4, 2017 1:48 PM
I have 3 credit cards at the moment. I do like that one of my credit cards gives me lots of travel rewards.
Mama Writes Reviews - December 5, 2017 7:43 PM
Yes, the card I use gives me a decent amount of cash back!
Leslie - December 4, 2017 1:50 PM
Three but it's all about the points and perks that each have. They get paid off at the end of each month.
Mama Writes Reviews - December 5, 2017 7:43 PM
Great! I'm glad to hear that.
Maryann Lowden - December 4, 2017 5:42 PM
Only One Credit Card and I pay it off each month
Mama Writes Reviews - December 5, 2017 7:44 PM
So glad to hear that!
Abby Darlington - December 4, 2017 6:07 PM
I have two in my name. My husband is in the finance industry so he's all about 'a dollar today vs. a dollar tomorrow' ... if it were up to me I would just use my debit card for everything but he insists that you're throwing away free money that way. ha! Different mindsets I guess.
Mama Writes Reviews - December 5, 2017 7:44 PM
Yep, one of the joys of marriage!
Brooke - December 4, 2017 7:34 PM
Only one! For being a shopohilic that I am, I’m surprisingly good at maintaining my credit balance ahaha
Mama Writes Reviews - December 5, 2017 7:45 PM
That's good! It's hard to find a balance between shopping and saving!
Angie - December 4, 2017 8:04 PM
I have a few but don't use any of them anymore. Pretty much just keep them open for credit and may use them here and there for emergencies because keeping them opened without using can be bad for your credit too.
Mama Writes Reviews - December 5, 2017 7:45 PM
That's true, and I have a couple I don't use that I really need to get closed for that reason.
jiselle - December 4, 2017 9:10 PM
none !!
Mama Writes Reviews - December 5, 2017 7:45 PM
Excellent!
emman damian - December 4, 2017 9:38 PM
I actually have a lot! I think 8 right now. It’s so difficult to manage. You need to have a schedule.
Mama Writes Reviews - December 5, 2017 7:45 PM
Yes, it's hard!
Jasmine Hewitt - December 4, 2017 9:44 PM
One - and I never use it. It's emergency use only
Mama Writes Reviews - December 5, 2017 7:45 PM
That's great to hear! I hope you don't ever have to use it.
Priyanka - December 4, 2017 9:48 PM
I have only one Credit card which is rarely used.
Mama Writes Reviews - December 5, 2017 7:46 PM
Good!
Taylor - December 4, 2017 10:44 PM
We have one credit card and pay it off each month too.
Mama Writes Reviews - December 5, 2017 7:46 PM
Excellent! We're almost to that point! We had a bit of a health emergency last year that set us back and the interest is a killer!
Kaycee - December 4, 2017 11:31 PM
I have 2 and I do like the free miles and cashback that I get from them.
Mama Writes Reviews - December 5, 2017 7:46 PM
The cashback is great!
Becca - December 5, 2017 6:21 AM
I have 3 and I regret each one! Such a waste of money paying all the interest —once I pay these off, I’ll never get one again!
Mama Writes Reviews - December 5, 2017 7:47 PM
I usually have paid them off each month but we had a bit of a health emergency last year that set us back and the interest is killing us.
Shell - December 5, 2017 7:29 AM
I have none. At one point I had 6 and a mound of debt... all those little purchases add up. Now I have no credit cards and no debt. I pay cash for everything and if I don’t have enough money it waits... Also any purchase over $50 I wait 3 days to see if I still want it... 80% of the time I’ve decided I didn’t really need the item.
Mama Writes Reviews - December 5, 2017 7:47 PM
That is an excellent strategy!
Scott - December 5, 2017 9:12 AM
We have two, one Visa on MC. Always pay them in full every month - no interest fees for us!
Mama Writes Reviews - December 5, 2017 7:47 PM
That's great. That interest is horrible.
Rachel - December 5, 2017 10:15 AM
I only have 1. I don’t see the need to have more at this point.
Mama Writes Reviews - December 5, 2017 7:47 PM
I have more than one but really only use one.
Gingermommy - December 5, 2017 10:33 AM
I think it is important to limit your debt. Credit cards can be helpful but they certainly have to be used properly.
Mama Writes Reviews - December 5, 2017 7:48 PM
Exactly! We had been so good about paying them off every month until our health emergency and that set us back!
Blair villanueva - December 5, 2017 10:44 AM
Well I got 8 cards! And its not bad at all. They are all fine and well managed.
Mama Writes Reviews - December 5, 2017 7:49 PM
That's totally fine too!
Chelsea @ Home Well Managed - December 5, 2017 12:39 PM
Just one for the travel points. We love it, I can't remember the last time we actually paid for a hotel room.
Mama Writes Reviews - December 5, 2017 7:49 PM
That's amazing! Rewards are the best.
Lexi - December 5, 2017 12:52 PM
None! Paid then off before I graduated so I could work on my student loans.
Mama Writes Reviews - December 5, 2017 7:49 PM
Great job!
Melissa - December 5, 2017 1:44 PM
I have two and can't wait to get them paid off.
Mama Writes Reviews - December 5, 2017 7:50 PM
I'm pretty close to getting mine paid off!
Cindy Gordon - December 5, 2017 2:17 PM
I have one credit card and my husband has one. We use it for emergencies only.
Mama Writes Reviews - December 5, 2017 7:50 PM
Great! I hope you never have to use it.
Natalie - December 5, 2017 3:11 PM
2! A wayfair and a Capitol one
Mama Writes Reviews - December 5, 2017 7:50 PM
Cool!
Evelyn - December 5, 2017 11:46 PM
Ive got one...prefer to keep it Light so I wise it wisely!
Mama Writes Reviews - December 6, 2017 2:54 PM
Yes, I know what you mean.
Tina Gleisner - December 6, 2017 6:08 AM
Use 1 personal card (shared with husband which means I rarely use Paypal because they don't allow this) and 2 cards for business. There are others but not really - new HVAC system had zero financing on a ... CC which was destroyed the day it arrived, so I don't really count this or another one like it.
Mama Writes Reviews - December 6, 2017 2:54 PM
Sounds good. Most of our purchases have low or zero interest rate, but man, that credit card doesn't!
Lubka Henry - December 6, 2017 1:04 PM
I don't have a credit card and I'm not even intending to get. I prefer using my own money after they've landed in my account.
Mama Writes Reviews - December 6, 2017 2:55 PM
That's the best way to go.
Inez - December 7, 2017 6:46 PM
ZERO!! I had had one for a very short amount of time when I was 18 and have never had another.
Mama Writes Reviews - December 7, 2017 10:39 PM
Excellent! I'm impressed.
Victoria Moore - December 8, 2017 1:29 PM
We currently have 2, but we ALWAYS always pay it on time. We didn't get them for emergency use, we got them to build our credit.
Mama Writes Reviews - December 8, 2017 5:30 PM
Building credit is very important as well!
Lisa - December 8, 2017 3:49 PM
1
Mama Writes Reviews - December 8, 2017 5:30 PM
I have 1 as well. It has a great rewards program.
Oyinkan - December 9, 2017 9:08 PM
Oh gosh I haven't even gone Christmas shopping yet smh I really have to get on it.
Mama Writes Reviews - December 9, 2017 9:47 PM
Yeah! You're running out of time, lol.
RonLeyba - December 10, 2017 7:26 PM
I have none. But i wanted to get one.
Mama Writes Reviews - December 10, 2017 8:34 PM
It's good for building credit, but they can easily get you into trouble.
