Discbound Planners: Why You Should Jump On Board the Discbound Planner Train

Have you heard about Discound Planners? Have you tried one?
I've been using a discbound planner for awhile now. I wrote about it back HERE.
Basically, the discbound planner is sort of a cross between a spiral bound planner and a 3 ring binder. The unique design of the rings allow you to easily remove pages and move them around without having to open metal rings or reordering every single page, etc.
There are several popular companies out there:
TUL,
and others.
There are tons of different things you can put in your planners:
Covers that range from fancy leather to vinyl to plastic to thick paper,
Dividers, which are usually plastic and are nearly identical to 3 ring binder tabbed dividers,
Tabs, Stickers, Zipper Pouches,
a discbound Punch, and more.
What I did was get the Circa starter kits, which comes with a good variety to get started.
- Translucent covers (front and back)
- 3/4-inch discs (11 for letter, 8 for junior)
- 10 sheets of annotation-ruled paper
- 10 sheets of full-page ruled paper
- 5 sheets of Things To Do
Once I got the hang of it, I got more paper from the ARC brand. Then, I eventually started making my own pages in my Etsy shop as well as covers and folders and dividers. Now I have exactly what I want and I can punch anything thanks to my handy punch!
There are several basic sizes of the discbound planners:
LETTER: 8.5x11 inches. Circa, Staples ARC, TUL, Happy Planner
JUNIOR/HALF LETTER: 5.5x8.5 inches: Circa, Staples ARC, TUL
CLASSIC: 7x9.25 inches: Happy Planner
MINI: 4.5x7 inches: Happy Planner
COMPACT: 3 3/4x6 3/4 inches: Circa
A4: 210 x 297 mm, 8.3 x 11.7 in
A5: 148 x 210 mm, 5.8 x 8.3 in
A6: 105 x 148 mm, 4.1 x 5.8 in
All of these sizes are available on Etsy and you can pick and choose what sort of system works best for you.
Well, there you have it. All sorts of information about these awesome planners. Now, the question is:
which are you going to try first?
