It's a Fiesta! I just LOVE my Fiestaware Plates, Bowls, Mugs, Pie Plates, Cups, & Utensils!

One of the things I first noticed about Honey Graham back when we first met was his collection of FiestaWare. Actually, I’m pretty sure it was his sister’s. He told me that his mom had Fiestaware and he remembers it as far back as he remembers.
We have so much FiestaWare, I couldn’t even list them all… but I’ll list several of our favorite pieces:
I love these little fruit bowls. Yes, we use them for fruit. They’re also a great size for a side of veggies.
We have several of these 1 quart large bowls. We like to store leftovers in them. They’re also good for soup.
The 7 ¼” salad plates get a lot of use too. They work in the toaster oven, microwave, freezer, fridge, and dishwasher, so we end up with fewer dishes to wash.
I have at least a dozen of these 18 oz jumbo cups. These are perfect for tea or a large cup of coffee. They’re also pretty awesome for soup.
I have a set of four of these cereal bowls. They’re not my favorite because they’re kind of an awkward size and they hold about 14 ounces.
We inherited several sets of Flatware. I love the colors, but they do take up a lot of room in the silverware drawer.
We also have quite a stash of the medium bowls in various colors. These get used a lot too, again, because they can go in the fridge or the oven or the microwave and are dishwasher safe.
This is a cool 5 piece set you can buy to get you started. You can get several sets in the same color, or do what we did and get about 8 different colors to start with and then add more colors as you go.
Actually, we started out with 8 sets of this 4 piece set that we put on our wedding registry. I think I asked for Scarlet, Tangerine, Sunflower, Shamrock, Cobalt, Peacock, Cinnabar, and Heather.
One of the pieces in those sets is the 10 ½ inch dinner plate. This is a nice sized plate and it holds a full meal!
Oh, these gusto bowls are so much fun. We used to use them all the time before having kids. We’d put macaroni in them, cereal, soup…. They held just about everything just right!
We also have a bunch of the approximately 6 ounce bouillon bowls, but apparently those are hard to find now!
Yes, these Fiesta pieces are breakable. We’ve broken a few pieces in the almost 9 years we’ve had them. This is why we don’t let the kids use them or handle them, although Froot Loop can be trusted to take dishes to the sink most of the time.
They are very durable though, and it’s pretty awesome that they can go from the cupboard to the oven or toaster oven to the table to the fridge, or even to the freezer. Then, just put them in the dishwasher and they’re all clean and ready for you again!
I also LOVE all the color choices. We started with those 8 colors and then I added lemongrass and turquoise and flamingo and white as well as a few other colors I’ve picked up along the way at random places.
Some pieces we don’t have and would be pretty cool to have are:
I am LOVING this 15 inch pizza tray.
And this utensil set would match my kitchen perfectly! I may have to get these.
My kitchen has a chili pepper theme with some fiesta thrown in there. I have a pinata hanging from my kitchen ceiling and chili pepper wallpaper stickers on all of my cupboards. I am also VERY proud of my red wall in my kitchen and dining room. It was the first thing I did to this house after we bought it and it makes me happy every time I see it. The Fiestaware settings go perfectly with it and I love using them. Froot Loop very much prefers everyone to have a set of dishes all in the same color, but I have to make it a point to make sure everyone gets different colors, i.e. a red plate and blue bowl and a white fork and green spoon...
I'm so glad Honey Graham introduced me to Fiesta. I loved it the first time I used it and now I have a fantastic collection that will last for years as long as I don't drop it!
Does your kitchen have a theme?
