A Spooky Sensory Experience: Week of Sensory Bins, Day 5!

You know, I never really liked Halloween that much as a kid. Sure, it was a day to dress up and be silly and get all sorts of candy and stuff, but really, I wasn't that impressed by it.
I didn't understand why everything had to be so scary and spooky, and then as I got a little older, why most of the halloween costumes for preteen, teenage, and adult women are "sexy" (enter costume here). Really? Who wants to be a sexy clown for halloween? Or a sexy dentist? Or a sexy Spongebob? (yes, I've seen that)... anyway, now that I have kids, I see the fun in Halloween again. I even decorate my house for Halloween! And, I made a fun sensory box too!
Here's the final product after the boys were done playing with it.
For the main filler, I bought a few strands of Halloween garland. I cut it into 2-3 inch pieces and then fluffed it all up. I loved the effect!
I found some really cute Skull shotglasses at our local dollar store, but you could use some shot glasses like these.
I have wanted a reason to buy some sticky eyeballs for quite awhile now. Ah! They're so gross! They're squishy and sticky and digusting and PERFECT for this sensory box. The boys absolutely hated them and it was funny to watch them figure out what they were.
What's a halloween without those spider rings?. I found a pack of multicolored ones for some extra effect. I think a FEW of them remained in the bin when the boys were done... good thing they're cheap so I can buy more.
I also put some plastic jack o lanterns in there just for fun.
And then right next to them was a bag of plastic skulls. LOVE THEM.
Finally, I got some spider web. I tore it into some small chunks and then fluffed it into the bin.
Isn't it pretty? I love how it turned out and I plan on adding a few more things to it once I dig out my halloween decorations from last year!
As far as the bin, I used a "Sweater box" since it's a good size and see through.
What's your favorite costume you've dressed up in?

I love how to see people prepare and celebrate it because we don't celebrate that over here
To answer your question, one of my favorite Halloween costumes as a kid was a majorette. As an adult, I once dressed up as a ghostly bride for a Halloween party.
