Before I spent even a penny, I'd quit my job! Then I'd take a once-in-a-lifetime type vacation to the Galapagos Islands or China or somewhere.

I would pay off all debts and find a house for my family. With any spare I would make sure all our family are comfortable and I would then have a holiday.

Use a portion of it to start a business, save some for my son's college fund and our retirement fund, and the rest, buy a new home!

Depends on how much it was! If I won like ridiculous amounts of money I think I'd start by buying a house, and maybe an apartment as well. If it was more moderate I'd invest it in my business - hire some help etc to be able to grow quicker.

Well I would pay off all my debt. Buy a house at uwharrie over looking the lake. And open an account for my kids and set up a college fund for them.

The first thing I would do if I won the lottery would be to give my mom anything that she wanted. Next, I'd invest 1/4 of the earnings.
