The story of my wedding ring & a review

My husband and I picked out my engagement ring together. We bought it from this beautiful little shop in Wyoming. I said I wanted a three-stone ring, to represent our past, present, and future. Soooooo cheesy, but that’s how it was.
I had a hard time finding a wedding ring to go with it because of the shape of the engagement ring. We had literally NO MONEY back then, and we spent too much on the engagement ring, but it was worth it.
I was shopping at Kohl’s with my mom for other wedding accessories and stuff and I decided to look at the jewelry counter just for fun. I showed the helpful salesperson my ring and she picked out three of the rings for me to try on. The first one was pretty, but didn’t quite fit right. The second one I just didn’t like. Then, we put the third one on, and the sales lady just looked at me and said, “okay, I’ll get the box and ring you up.” It was beautiful and it wasn’t super duper expensive.
It was a unique shape too, and had several diamonds in it as well.
Well, to make a long story short (TOO LATE!), I lost a diamond in my ring when pregnant with Cocoa Puff. Of course, this came at the WORST time as I was already dealing with horrible anxiety and panic attacks. I found a super nice person in my teeny tiny town to fix it, and since I had luckily found the diamond, it was a quick and inexpensive fix. A few months after getting the ring back, the diamond NEXT to that one fell out and I never did find it. It bothered me SOOOO much.
So, I decided that it was probably best to not wear that ring anymore and to find a new one. I ordered several rings off of Amazon and most of them didn’t go with my engagement ring.
However, I ordered this one and it looked beautiful with my engagement ring!
It was a tiny bit on the small side, but I probably should have ordered a half size up. I’m impatient and they didn’t have the half size up available on Amazon Prime and I didn’t want to wait to get it.
I wore this ring until right before my gallbladder surgery in November 2018. I was supposed to take it off for my colonoscopy, my ultrasound, my CT scan, my MRI, and my HIDA scan, but I couldn’t get it off. It had melded itself to my finger! Gah!
Anyway, I managed to get it off a couple of days before my surgery and I decided I wasn’t going to put it back on. I’m now wearing it on a necklace This is the same necklace that has the heart-shaped charm with a replica of my Grandma’s signature on it.
I have since ordered some temporary wedding rings (these ones HERE until I feel the need to buy another “real” wedding ring. I’m in no hurry, because I want my next one to be my FOREVER wedding ring. Our 10th wedding anniversary is coming up this summer, and I think that’s what I want for our anniversary.
Anyway, that’s the long story behind this ring, but I really did love it. It was small and dainty. The diamonds were tiny, but that’s what I wanted. I didn’t want them to compete with my engagement ring. I would have kept it if the size had been better for me, but again, that was totally my fault! MAYYYYYBE I'd wear it again if I can lose enough weight to get it to fit well again, but I'm probably another 30 pounds away from that.
What’s your story behind your jewelry?

My husband designed my ring. It has a big diamond, which represents me and then two smaller ones on each side which are him and the kids. It isn't really a unique design but the fact he wanted each stone to mean something makes it super special.

My husband designed my engagement ring, based on a Tiffany & Co diamond solitaire with a knife edge. It was exactly what I wanted. I only wear it for special occasions now.
I melted my grandfather's signet ring to make my wedding band, which is a plain gold band with a knife edge.
