Fitness Friday: Why you should try a yoga strap

I have PCOS and I'm trying to stay fit. I love doing yoga but I need some yoga straps to help me get into some of those poses. My former yoga instructor (she was one awesome yogini!) highly recommended using yoga straps to ease into some of the more difficult poses for better control and a better stretch.
Combined with yoga blocks, yoga straps can help you get MUCH more out of your yoga routine.
These yoga straps are what I'm currently using.
After using them a few times, I'm pretty impressed. I especially like them for helping me get into hip flexor poses on my right side. They also help me get a much more satisfying stretch out of reclined big toe pose.
They are also very beneficial for doing shoulder stretches and poses. You can really improve your flexibility in your rotator cuffs.
See how this model is using hers? That's only ONE of MANY different ways to use it.
It allows you get much deeper into several poses, allowing you to get a much more satisfying routine.
Also included is a multi-loop strap, which doesn't have the D loops, but is an essential item for any yoga routine.
These are just a few of the poses you can use with the straps.
Plus, there's an E-book attached, which is super helpful if you're just starting out.
The straps are TOUGH and well made with a sturdy, non-stretchy material. There's D rings so that you can make it the exact length you need in no time at all.
There's tons of colors to choose from too, which is a nice bonus.
And they're super long so even tall people can use them (but no worries... shorter people will have no problem with them either).
Really, if you do yoga or pilates, you'll want to add some yoga straps to your arsenal. You won't regret it!
What is your favorite yoga pose?
