I have weird hair. It's both dry and oily, and it's very thick and wavy now that I've gotten my PCOS under control. I've actually had to look for new shampoos to use since my hair is so different now. So, when I was given the opportunity to try Allurials Shampoo, I totally jumped at it. I'm glad I did!

First of all, I LOVE that the shampoo comes in a pump. It makes it a lot easier in the shower. It's a simple thing, but it goes a long way with me. I noticed right away that it SMELLS AMAZING. Mmmm.

While yes, it has laureths in it (these ARE kind of necessary to make it lather), otherwise, it is paraben free and also free of other questionable ingredients. Good for them. I'm not a fan of nasty chemicals in my health and beauty products.

Ingredients: Purified Water, Coco glucosides, Disodium laureth sulfosuccinate, Guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride, Organic Aloe vera, Lauryldimonium hydroxypropyl hydrolyzed soy protein, Botanical Keratin, Polyquaterhium 7, Organic Argania spinosa (Argan) kernel oil, Coconut oil, Chamomilla recutita (Matricaria) flower extract, Organic Camelis sinensis (Green tea)extract, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Chondrus crispus (Irish moss) extract, Ethyhexylglycerin, Glycereth 7 cocoate, Citric acid, Caprylic/capric triglycerides, fragrance

More about the shampoo and the brand:

KEY INGREDIENTS – Allurials conditioning shampoo is made from Natural extracts and oils including Botanical Keratin, Aloe Vera, Argan oil, Coconut oil, Green tea extract. Detangling shampoo helps to revive hair & prevent breakage and hair loss.

KERATIN COMPLEX FORMULA – Keratin is the structural building blocks of the hair which is responsible for strengthening and softening the shafts. Excessive exposure to styling products and chemical treatments leads to depletion of keratin levels. Allurials nourishing shampoo restores and rebalances the keratin levels in your hair leaving them gorgeously smooth, shiny and manageable.

GROW, STRENGTHEN & PROTECT - In addition to stimulating growth, this formula is designed to revitalize, strengthen, volumize and protect hair. Ideal for repairing thinning, breakage and split ends.

INFUSED With ARGAN OIL AND COCONUT OIL – Allurials conditioning shampoo is infused with argan and Coconut oil which boosts shine and adds luster. This formula cleanses and conditions in one simple step, it also prevents damage caused by traditional shampooing.

CRUELTY-FREE – Satisfaction of our customers is our primary concern. If you are looking for a cruelty-free product to treat your hair, then our conditioning shampoo is the right choice for you. Formulated from natural ingredients, it is never tested on animals.

When I pumped a little into my hand, it was a tiny bit on the sticky, yet slimy side, but it's not hand soap, so this is to be expected. After I took a shower and washed my hair with it, my frizzy hair was tamed and my split ends were much less noticeable. AND MY HAIR SMELLED AMAZING! My husband even noticed and asked if *HE* could use it too. I'm hooked! We're hooked. I LOVE this shampoo.

Are you loyal to a shampoo or do you just usually buy what's on sale?

I tend to use Head and Shoulders, or sometimes whatever is on offer. This one does sound great though, I like the pump on the bottle too.

Ooooh I’m going to have to try this one out! I LOVE pumps, but don’t love the fact that the bottles with pumps are usually huge! This looks like I can fit it on my ledge!

My stylist just informed me of the awful layers of residue that Pantene leaves in my hair so this is something I’m going to have to try. I like the ingredients.

Looks like another good coconut-based product to try! Seems like coconuts are the wonder fruit, with so many uses, from edible to practical uses like this, and in oil form.
