Can YOU Spot It? Review of a fun game for the whole family.

Now that the boys are a little older, they like playing games as a family. Cocoa Puff is a bit young for most of them at 3 years old, so we kind of have to bend the rules for him a little. One game we all can play is Spot It Jr. Animals.
If you’ve ever played Spot It (the original), this game has the same concept, but it’s simplified for kids. Every card in the game has six different animals on it, in all different sizes. The cool part about this game is that any two cards in the game have one and only one animal in common with each other!
Turn two cards over and the first player who finds the matching animal wins the card, and the person with the most cards at the end of the game wins!
The main difference between the jr. and the regular Spot it is that the images are bigger and there’s fewer images on each card.
There’s some other versions of Spot it as well:
Spot It Doc McStuffins Numbers and Shapes
Spot it Miles from Tomorrowland
Spot It: Jake and the Neverland Pirates: shapes and numbers
Spot It: Doc McStuffins: Shapes and Numbers
Spot it Freeze: Electronic Party Game
Those last two are perfect for Pre-K classrooms. In fact, I’ve played it with the kids in Froot Loop’s class a few times while I’ve been in his classroom playing Class Mom. It’s a fun way to get them to recognize their letters, shapes, and numbers and colors.
I like that they have the branded versions too. I think that would appeal to a wider audience and help the kids feel more eager to play. I wish they had a Thomas the Train or Paw Patrol version, though!
Which is your favorite version?
