Oh man, all the homemade baby food. All the pumped breast milk. All the freezer space being taken up by these two. Totally worth it, but man, a lot of work. Here’s two containers that made my life a little easier when I was deep in newborn and baby land.

First up, we have these Stackable 2 ounce freezable, reusable 12 pack 2 ounce containers.

I used these for storing expressed milk and homemade baby food. They are super easy to store and freeze. To get the food out, just run under warm water for a minute or two. The cups are airtight. The marker doesn't work the greatest, but that's not an important issue to me. The two ounce size is great for a meal for baby. I liked the storage tray and that they were stackable. It was easy to keep them all together in the freezer.

Measurement markings clearly show portions and the dry erase window allows you to note the contents and date. Sprout Cups are freezer, microwave, and dishwasher safe for easy cleanup. Screw on lids prevent messes from leaking food. The stacking cups and storage tray provide convenient storage. Most importantly, Sprout Cups are BPA free and safe for your baby.

Personally, I did not have any trouble with the lids. They screwed on tightly and securely and didn’t pop off or anything in the freezer or otherwise. Remember if you freeze them, you’ve GOT to leave some space at the top for expansion. If you fill right to the 2 ounce line, you should be fine.

There’s also a 4 ounce size, but I never got around to buying these. I do still occasionally use them, but obviously, not for baby food anymore since my babies are 6 and 3 now!!!

The other storage containers I used a lot were these 1 ounce Press N Pop containers.

The one ounce containers are perfect for freezing expressed milk or homemade baby food. They're easy to fill and stack in the freezer. There's a marking so you get exactly 1 ounce. The best part is that when you're ready to use them, just push on the silicone bottom and the cube pops right out!

Press 'n' Pop Mini Freezer Pots are perfect for freezing homemade foods or breast milk in convenient 1oz portions. Their secure snap-on lids ensure that food is protected from contamination and their soft Press 'n' Pop bases make it easy to pop the frozen food cube out … OR… microwave, defrost, and warm straight from the freezer and feed directly from the pot! The choice is yours! They are safe for use in the dishwasher, microwave, sterilizer, and freezer. BPA free, Latex free, and PVC free.

Both of these containers were great for me. The only other thing I used was this silicone ice cube tray, but I didn’t like that it wasn’t covered and I didn’t want to take the time to cover it. However, I use it a lot more now for its intended purpose, which is of course, making ice cubes!

Did you ever try to make your own baby food?

I used to make my own baby food all the time. I actually reused baby food jars, but it's nice that all these kinds of containers are available now!

Those are great to use for making baby food. I remembered using small containers when I used to make our daughter baby food.

These look so fantastic! I just bought some of the freezer molds. I was using a small cupcake mold, but it cracked recently, and I've been looking for a good replacement!

They were a lifesaver for us!!! Actually now that the kids are older I use them to make popsicles in the summer or those nifty paint cubes. The smaller ones are the perfect size for those.
