My New Favorite Useful Thing: Curtain Rings with Clips

I have a new favorite thing! I have used these curtain rings with clips in several different ways now, and I just HAVE to share it with you.
Most recently, I bought these to use to hang some quilts on the wall.
I mounted a long curtain rod with these wall brackets and then used these clips to hang the quilt from the curtain rod. It was so easy and now I have a beautiful wall hanging!
The clips didn't hurt the fabric at all. They were a quick and inexpensive way to help soundproof a large room where we have our Preschool Bible study!
I have another set of these that I've used to hang my homemade kitchen curtains with, and it's nice because I can get the curtains all the way into the top of the window so I can block out ALL of the light from that window when I need to. These are TOTALLY the way to go. The kitchen gets SO HOT in the morning during summer as the sun rises, so I have to block out the sun. The curtains were very easy to make:
I got a set of these “half curtains” that block out light and heat. I found some fabric that I really like for my kitchen (i.e. chili peppers!) and sewed it right to the curtains. It was simple: I just made a giant pocket by cutting the fabric to the size of the panel, pinning the fabric to the curtains (right sides together) and sewing them together, leaving a few inches for turning. Then, I turned the fabric and curtain right side out and sewed up the side. I sewed around the edge about an inch away from the edge and then across at a couple of random places to help hold it together. Repeat for the second panel!
When I was done, I attached the clips to the curtains and put the rings part on a tension curtain rod in my kitchen window. It’s so easy to pull closed and it keeps out the heat and the light on those hot summer mornings! I just bought some tie backs to install so it’s easier to keep the curtains open in the winter. Right now, I have one side wrapped around the mounted paper towel holder and the other side closed into the cabinet door.
Finally, I got a set for my Dad who has a huge baseball cap collection. I helped him install a curtain rod and use these clips to hang the hats from. They’re in the process of moving, so I do not have a good picture of it, but I found pretty much EXACTLY the same thing from this cool website.
So, these clips are great for curtains, hanging quilts or blankets on the wall, holding baseball caps, or a variety of other things you can hang from clips. Now, these have teeth, so I wouldn’t use them to hang papers or artwork or photos or anything like that, but I think there’s tons of things you can use them for.
Any other ideas of what you can use these for?
