Keepsake Heart Handprint Craft for Valentine's Day (or Whenever)

The boys wanted to make Grandma and Grandpa something special for Valentine's Day this year. We decided to make a handprint heart picture for them to hang somewhere in their house.
Here's what you need to make these:
Acrylic Paint (We chose Valentine's Colors, but if doing this for another holiday/birthday/whatever, use whatever colors you want)
Fine Glitter (Again, pick whatever color(s) you want).
Paintbrush(es)
First, paint ONE hand with the first color.
Push hand down onto the middle area of the canvas.
Paint the other hand. We chose to use two different colors just for fun and for a cool effect. Push this hand down onto the canvas, overlapping the thumbs as shown.
If needed, take a little bit of paint and dab it onto the bottoms of the hands to make it look a little more like a heart.
Get a pinch of glitter and sprinkle it over the wet paint. Shake or blow the extra off of the canvas.
Paint a heart around the handprints. If your kiddo has large hands or didn't place them right in the middle, you may not be able to get the entire heart, but that's okay too.
Have your kiddo add some heart stickers in three corners of the canvas.
Finally, put their name and the year in the last corner. You can paint it or use a permanent marker to do this.
Now you have a fun and sweet gift that's perfect for grandparents or other loved ones for Valentine's Day!
What are your thoughts on Valentine's Day?
